Goes to show that you don't have to have a $60,000 fishing boat to do this! 2 questions: 1) what are your 2 motors, 2) (and I'm sure that its personal preference but...) does having the rod holder on the downrigger arm cause problems? I myself have my rods in seperate holders. Like I said, its probably personal preference. Thanks
We have a Suzuki 140 and a Suzuki 9.9. Boat has served us well and definitely not $60,000! I haven’t had any problems with the rod holders. Lot of them set up like that. No space to put rod holders so this has worked well. Tight lines and thanks for watching! Make sure to subscribe.
Why continue trolling at speed or even trolling straight when fighting the fish? Nothing worse than a net bag being pulled by 4 mph moving water when netting. Fight the fish while circling in either direction. Usually, turn in opposite direction as downrigger being used. Or, better yet, unlike a meat fishermen. Use light rods, smaller flashers, cut the motor, enjoy the fight of a smaller sized fish! Or, drag em in and tell everyone it was fun!
