It was an auspicious time on the 8th of March for our Buddhist puja blessing ceremony. We were invited to Kopan Monastery which overlooks Kathmandu city, to receive well wishes for the 14 peaks project.
I have participated in many puja ceremonies before my climbs. They are always memorable and special. However this ceremony was the most significant in terms of how my energy was shifted. It was an honor to receive our blessing from Sangpo and Thubten. The experience can’t be described in words. As I meditated while they chanted their Tibetan prayers, tears streamed down my face. I felt an intense connection with the place and the words.
After the puja Thubten gave me the most important message of my life.
“You must believe 100% not 50%” he said. For anyone wanting to achieve their dream these are the wisest words.
