@@JamieFenn with how good Davinci Resolve 16 is looking, it seems like a great long term investment to do so (make more davinci resolve tutorials). I see more "serious" hobbyists and RU-vidr types moving to it in the future as the word gets out that its basically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition all in one $300 bundle instead of $624 a YEAR (for software known to cause unpredictable blue-screens and to have commonly used workarounds for things that simply don't work properly) But on a side note, I think even less cinematic stuff could be very helpful / do well on RU-vid. Things like general green screen tips / tricks, object manipulation, memey stuff etc
Why has it taken me so long to find this channel? I was so tired of "how to add text" "how to add a square" tutorials. Finally someone doing interesting stuff.
when i search about the fusion in youtube i watch so many videos about basics but no has taught me what's the foreground background or any stuff that i watched and learned in this video i salute you. you're the best
Got to keep it up as Resolve is becoming more popular and will see a large following for its tutorials in the future. I can't go back to premiere pro after using it the past month.
Fusion can be really intimidating coming from After Effects, but after getting a better understanding of how nodes work I can see how they can actually be more efficient than using layers. I’m really wanting to get more fluent in Fusion so I can use AE less. It’ll be really nice to have all my video projects contained within one app and not have my hard drive cluttered with AE files. I’ve really grown to loathe working in Premiere because of its stability issues and DaVinci is years ahead and a thousand times more stable.
Awesome! That is literally 3 seconds. It could be a few hours to make this, come out perfect like your work. Video/art editors are so underappreciated. Excellent work!! Thanks for the tutorial!
Nice Tutorial :-) thanks for that. Tipp: If you press "S" in the Keyframe-Window, after you clicked on a keyframe, it will smooth it out automatically. And with the little icon in right, upper croner you can fit your keyframe-screen to all your active keyframes. :-)
Hey mate i found this video the other day and thought i would give it a go myself ! I shot my own footage at my local beach and it turn out great . Perfect instructions, i think what you do on this channel is amazing.
DR is amazing! And feel free to check out my other videos, Some have a ton of info so it may seem overwhelming but once you do it a few times you'll get the hang of it!
I would add some color correction on the guy's arm before he gets pulled through to make it match the indoor color of the other hand and then have that correction fade away during the transition.
this is insane. im new to resolve but have been a videographer for 7 years now.. just basic stuff but now am trying to elevate my work into stuff like this but to just know how to do these things in resolve is a bit intimidating lol but ill get there with these types of how toos ... awesome work
Yoooo! First of all thank you so much for becoming a member to the channel. WELCOME! Second, don't feel intimidated, I know it might be a lot at first but just take your time and practice. Get lots of repetition in and everything will start to flow naturally. Keep on creating my dude! Cheers :)
Im brand new at editing and Davinci. I only watch this kind of tutorial to enjoy seeing what it can do, but maybe something I will never learn. Thats ok, its still amazing!
Nicely done man thank you for this! Hopefully this doesnt get lost in the comments but do you think you could do a tutorial on the lock on stabilization effect like in the beats commercial using resolve??
That polygon magic in this video is Through the Frame🤣. I am loving your videos:). I subscribed. I’m now your humble student and I will try and master as many of your Divinci Resolve videos As I can.
Thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel! Feel free to let me know what you think about my videos. I have VFX playlist that you should check out that I think you would like.
@@JamieFenn I was watching tutorials the whole night, because of you and other Tutorial RU-vidrs :D Slept just 3 hours, but 0 regrets, I'm totally fine :D thank you so mzch for making Tutorial Videos!
Amazing what off the shelf special effects are available these days that would have taken a high budget Hollywood movie studio days to produce just twenty years ago.
learned SO MUCH ! thanks a lot for this kinda of tutorial for Davinci. I'm making the switch from fcpx and learning this as I go is really making it a smooth transition to it (pun intended as well :D )
Thanks man, trying to decide if I'll be buying Resolve and looking into some tutorials to see what it's capable of. Looks like it has some good features without the greed of a subscription price structure.
@@JamieFenn waiting for my new rig to get here, mid tier but upgradable PC. Been watching you and tossing the links to a creative partner of mine. He's been watching tutorials to get an idea of what post stuff we'll be able to do now.... ..... always nice to see people sharing what they know. I'm a jack of all trades master of none, at the same time try to pass on skills when I can. Best way to learn a skill is to teach and learn from others with similar interests.
Awsome Tutorial! Thank you for focusing on the most important things, it makes it very pleasing to watch as it's the right amount of information in the right amount of time.
Reyzas definitely. And thank you! I like to get straight to the point and when I start to do more advanced effects it’s important to not drag on because the videos would get super long. Straight and to the point is my style and I like to throw in tips and tricks a long the way.

U really appreciate what you do pls do More Tutorials
WOW !!! Amazing , thank you sooooo much for such a detailed sharing of knowledge 🙏 very very cool. Could you essentially do it in reverse pulling someone OUT of a photo/video ? Of course this involves matching clothing/lighting etc
This is a great effect. While I haven't tried it myself, the technique got me going on a few things like people opening boxes and having another world inside etc. Rotoscoping is tedious AF though 😆
@@JamieFenn If you ever have time, you should do a similar effect to this, but when the photograph is not flat to the plane of the camera (so skewed to the side, etc). I also wonder how to do light rays that emit from a picture into the main video. I've been messing with that for a week and can't figure it out!
Bezier Curve: A Bézier curve is a parametric curve used in computer graphics and related fields. The curve, which is related to the Bernstein polynomial, is named after Pierre Bézier, who used it in the 1960s for designing curves for the bodywork of Renault cars. Other uses include the design of computer fonts and animation.
