Thank you for such great videos. I am a beginner with Power Director and I'm shocked at the difference and how much better Resolve is. A bit intimidating but with your videos I will learn a lot!
Thanks bro for this tutorial, Can you make a video to show us how to import and animate svg files inside fusion page in davinci resolve as we need this to animate our drawings for motion graphics videos
Jamie this is awesome! May I ask how do u add another clip as background (as ur sample) I successfully made the effect by following ur tutorial but the background is whole black , don’t know how to Chang it
Great effect, but I am not sure how to include that "cloudy" effect in the last Layer that you use in your intro? That must be an additional node which is not shown in the step by step tutorial. Does anybody know which node that might be to do that?
This is amazing! I'm a noob. Is there any way I can somehow save the node layout as a template, apply a different video/still then reshape or reset my mask? Thank you so much btw
Jamie can you please tell me that how can i do that darker to brighter transition? Please as I'm unable to create the exact effect that you have made. Hope you answer! BTW Awesome tutorial.
Hey cool video, There is one more transition where in elements drop from top one bu one.. i dont know what it is called, but i am searching for it.. please guide if you know..
So I masked three parts out, added DVE ode, but the DVE node is not selecting the mask, it just puts a green square around the entire picture and even with the X wheel changing, the picture or whatever is in the mask is not rotating, what am i doing wrong?
This is crazy, I was just today thinking off purchasing AE because I never thought I could actually create Something like this in fusion Big shoutout to you
Hey Jamie Nice Tutorial, but one question, if i want to use a lightblue background in the fusion comp. where must i add the background node?? The Background should be there from the beginning and the 3 parts of the image should flip in front of the background....
Do the exact same steps in this video, but instead of starting with a freeze frame, start with a blue back ground and treat it as it was the first layer in this video, then add the nodes on top (the foreground) and continue to add layers.
Another GREAT tutorial. I'm learning so much. I am interested to know how Ben TK did the intro to that thialand video. Maybe it will be in a future post 🤞. I appreciate all the work you put into your channel. Keep it up 🤙🤙
Thanks a lot, Jamie First time I tried that Transition it worked perfectly, but now i've got a Problem. When I duplicate my frame and then do the freeze frame, it zooms out. Maybe thats because I've stabilized the clip before? I'm now trying to crop the frame to fit, but i don't think the result will be good. Any Ideas what could cause the Problem?
Great tutorial and awesome channel!!! Was wondering what sounds did you use for sound design when the image pops open? Is it page flip? Can't seem to find any. Thanks!!!
Just a question that whether shall i purchase adobe creative cloud or use it's free alternatives cause you know you're a veteran in it. And yeah I want pursue my career in graphics designing and I'm serious about it. Waiting for your response. P.S. I've passed high school this year and I'm about to take admission in college after these lockdowns.
Ayyy thank you so much and hope you enjoy the luts! The magic mask is great for what it does but is easier and more precise to mask by hand. No template for this effect, but I’ll look into it.
Welcome back, This is great stuff... Thank you. And from your question during Live Q/A "are your tutorials to advanced" which I missed the live stream, but I watch it just before this. IMO no the Tutorials are fantastic helped me a lot to get going in Davinci Resolve. Sure I got previous knowledge as I worked with video edit hardware back in the days before digital and I'm a photographer so I do already know the lingo. So from my point of view I love the Tutorials they let me get right in to it and make magic. CHEERS!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE UR CHANNEL, seriously appreciate all of the effort that goes into your vids. Just subscribed, and im here for good and long time. THANK YOUUU JAMIE
@@JamieFenn Ive definitely already watched a handful of your videos, and they're all just as dope! Keep it up! Your work is sick and extremely helpful! Much love
@Jamie Fenn at the point where you say (2:52) "select all the points and drag it up" well I use PC I can select all the points but I cannot drag all the selected points like ou can?? For my it just adds anther point to the layer mask and drags the single point :( help please
Im new to Resolve... And with 18.5 alot of things have been switched up and moved around... It makes videos like this a little harder to follow. But great video and im sure with practice I'll get better. Thank You
Hi Jamie, Amazing Tutorial. Everything works. Can I just ask how you get this "smoke" effekt on the edges. Ofcourse if I rotate in for example a sky for the last layer , I got this ugly Edges from the Endframe. You solved it with this upgoing smoke effect. Would be gald if you gave me a tipp how to add these.
such a good tutorial!! but for some reason my edits arent turning out like yours :( its not flippin up properly and the polygons dont carry over properly for some reason
Jamie, great effect and video. Thanks. I am not quite clear on the reason for duplicating the polygon and moving the bottom mask points up each time versus just creating a new mask that sets the top of the next layer. Since the earlier layers are in the foreground, won't they cover the bottom of the next layer? Thanks again. G.
I did it with a different video sequence. It worked fine. I think either way would be fine if the mask for each layer covers all the way to the bottom of the screen. If the masks are more intricate, your approach may work better. Thanks again for the cool technique.
@@grobros Hey mate I thought this as well, I just tried it because masking is seems easier, do you have to trace back over the previous mask though? appreciate stepping out the process from node tree 2 onwards if you could. thanks Jamie and @grobros music for your help
