Thank god!!! I have this exact snowblower!! Thanks for this video!! I’ve had to use my electric start the last 2 snow falls, now I can fix it!!! Thank you!!
This repair went exactly as described on my Craftsman 22" snowblower, great job!!! 2 comments, #1 seal the rope and knots with a lighter, wet your fingers (so the molten plastic doesn't stick to your fingers) to roll the molten plastic into a permanent weld, and #2, use some blue locktight on the bolts so they don't fall out into the snow and shoot them into your neighbor's lawn.
Wow...finally found one that's exactly like mine..so we r terrible at fixing anything. .so a friend offered to take care of the recoil...so we don't have to take the whole SB..so all we have to do is take the 4 nuts out..take it to him..then screw it back the way u showed us...right? Thanx for posting...really helpful.🌹🌹
That is correct, if your friend is going to fix your pull start just take the four bolts out and you can take the recoil assembly to them! Thanks for watching!
Hi Neil, I didn’t have to cut mine as it was a standard length. I don’t know if that would be true for every single type, though. If you install your rope and when it is full recoiled and your handle is hanging off the engine with extra rope, you might need to trim your rope. Thanks for watching and good luck!
You did everything backwards you should’ve wound it up first put the cord in why did around the spore and then put it through the hallway handle I don’t mean to complain but Nice job of taking me three minutes
