note : after pulling off the ticks gently scratch or rub the spot where you pulled it from. it calms them down and they like it. it itches the animal after a tick is pulled.

I understand its difficult removing ticks from a tortoise but your forgetting to turn them counter clockwise atleast 90 degrees, easier removal and less chance the head gets stuck.

I love your videos!!! No Chase shit, I don’t think you’re weird, liking to hunt for ticks, and get them!!! I used to do it to our dogs when I was a kid in Pennsylvania!!! I just loved going through the fur or coat of the dog and finding a tick and pulling it off… We didn’t do anything fancy like put it in alcohol or have any of those whatever you call those pincer things… We would just stick them under the tire or tires of our parents vehicle, so they would squish the tick when they backed out or pulled forward!! Loved doing that, and seeing the blood splatter out!!! plus it made me feel good to know that those ticks weren’t sucking our dogs’ blood!!!!! So cool, so cool!!! Thank you very much!!!! and I didn’t know that about putting diatomaceous earth around the yard to control ticks… At that same house we had a pool, and my dad would use diatomaceous earth in the pool filter!! It is from Florida, that is essentially an old coral reef that had been under water eons ago, southern Florida, basically being an old coral reef, and that is where the diatomaceous earth comes from… Diatoms are microscopic animals/organisms in the water with wonderful/beautiful exoskeletons, that are part of certain creatures, diet, or diets, as a whale that has baleen, and they can filter the diatoms out for food… ❤
