WHO the heck doesn't like your food? It looks amazing and I'm especially impressed THAT YOU ARE THE CHEF! I love learning new thing and especially LOVE the scenery! Gorgeous God's Country!
3:57 Where Dave McCoy first left his mark on Mammoth/Long Valley. When I first saw it it didn't look like much of a ski slope; but the advantage for Dave was he never had to worry about grooming the slopes. The glacial moraine took care of that all by itself.
Wouldn't have mattered _who_ was running a loader, they weren't getting outta that bog once it was discovered to be a bog. It's easy to assume that much of the ground there is granite or basalt or tephra because the whole area is full of it. Really difficult to know how deep forest detritus is until you find out the hard way.
5:00 Apparently someone thought it would be cute to use these placard displays for target practice. This isn't just state (taxpayer) money tied up in these displays, it's volunteer donor money as well; would be nice for people to stop and think for just a moment before going asshole mode immediately.
I'm really curious what the purpose of the felt is, I've never seen it used before. I've always seen the gravel put directly on the cobble so the smaller rocks fill the cervices and pack down nice and solid.
@@plowbrothers365 Gotcha. I was thinking that you'd want the very top layer to pack down, but not knowing what the water table is going to be like in the winter, that makes sense.
So, did they ever break that pipe loose? Did they pull the whole string? How did it go? June Lake project is looking good. I'm curious if the two drains to "daylight" are still running -- I'd like to see how much each is flowing.
I'm curious about the same thing; it would be gratifying to know the water is running out nicely after all the trouble they went through to reclaim the lot.
I couldn't hear the story the Tool Pusher was trying to tell about a drilling accident that had happen in the past. Why were they pulling out all the pipe for anyway, to replace a pump head ? Add more substance to the story please! Not all of us can read between the lines of what your trying to film.
