Video cut off because they dropped it right before reaching surface.

I’d like to actually take the time to thank Ed Casano for doing such a great job and getting out to site and doing this at a moments notice. I’m involved with the deep sea industry and I know personally several organisations with assets were contacted and didn’t offer to take part in any recovery/rescue which many of us knew there was no rescue it was a recovery operation, not only did Ed get the asset out there he spent hours upon hours operating the Odysseus. Not many people appear to be thanking him and doing such a great job. A good friend of mine knows Ed and says he’s a great guy so it’s a salute and a thank you from me for his contribution and efforts.

Well, thanks Mr E. Casano! Ed sure sounds like a spectacular guy, maybe with some who may even say he’s special, but I won’t call him Special Ed. In all seriousness though, that’s pretty damn awesome of Ed and it appears he did a job well done! 👏🏼

Why there is no sound?

Why would there be? It's a video recording to document the recovery of the imploded submersible for an investigation, not a documentary produced for your entertainment. Sound would add literally nothing to the investigation.

The videos purpose did not need audio, and I’m sure the robot used wasn’t made with intention of hearing anything in the ocean anyway.

Any dead body found or not

That would be impossible. An implosion would leave them in sand sized pieces pretty much. Why would you even care about that anyway?

The overview presentation the US Coast Guard created says human remains were recovered and identified through DNA tests. It doesn't go into details about what state the remains were found in (we may get more details later), but I suspect it wouldn't be pretty.
