Rush was fairly scientific. The problem is that he was not a chemical or physics engineer. He didn't understand the difference between crystals and metals, and the different states of metals. If he had, he would have known how bad an idea it was to use carbon fiber for this type of application. I have an uncle who used fiber glass (not carbon fiber) on a tank that he applied a vacuum to. This was against my advice. Not surprisingly, it failed after a few uses. After wasting a few thousand dollars, he relented and started using metal tanks.
No phone or camera would survive that implosion. I doubt much is left of the people, their clothes, and belongings. The force of the implosion is like being in a diesel cylinder in an engine. First the air ignites , then the pressure crushes In until it explodes and the water pressure prevents the explosion from pushing outwards much. We can't even imagine the force generated by all that. Thankfully for the people inside it all happens so fast they don't even have time for their brain to realize what happened.

I’d like to actually take the time to thank Ed Casano for doing such a great job and getting out to site and doing this at a moments notice. I’m involved with the deep sea industry and I know personally several organisations with assets were contacted and didn’t offer to take part in any recovery/rescue which many of us knew there was no rescue it was a recovery operation, not only did Ed get the asset out there he spent hours upon hours operating the Odysseus. Not many people appear to be thanking him and doing such a great job. A good friend of mine knows Ed and says he’s a great guy so it’s a salute and a thank you from me for his contribution and efforts.
Well, thanks Mr E. Casano! Ed sure sounds like a spectacular guy, maybe with some who may even say he’s special, but I won’t call him Special Ed. In all seriousness though, that’s pretty damn awesome of Ed and it appears he did a job well done! 👏🏼
So hard to find unedited footage or worthwhile commentary, so much mainstream news drivel. Only worthwhile video I've seen since the report was released other than raws like this is Sub Brief's recent
