I bought ns 200 12th Feb... I was very skeptical about buying this bike... I had two choices rtr 200 and ns 200.. I wanted to buy rtr but it was missing sixth gear and liquid cooling and less bhp.. Still I made my mind to buy to buy rtr200 and suddenly I got to know that 2017 edition of ns 200 is available at a dealer nearby my place.. so I thought of having a look, although looks can be subjective but trust me when I looked it first time I changed my mind.. the new colour theme (I bought red with Matt great) is stunning.. the backlit switches looks cool, multicolored instrument cluster is awesome and the best thing I liked was there is no silencer(it is present but has been put under the engine so not visible) which makes this bike looks fabulous.. So, just an advice to all who are planning to buy a new bike and confused between rtr 200 and ns 200 don't go only by specs have a look of both the bikes and trust your eyes..😀

as per ur suggestions i bought the rtr 200 and maan it is worth every single penny . the quality of materials and the ride quality it offers is like too good .. and the sound , it sounds like a parallel twin after warming up.

Nice review, Dino. I've put exactly 345 KMs on my Pulsar 200 NS 2017 (Mirage White). I just wanted to share my opinion that the NS has really really good mid range. The ride quality is excellent. I don't really have a comprehensive opinion on RTR but I've ridden my friend's RTR a few times and I really missed the 6th gear on the highway. Where as cruising around 80-90 on NS feels so relaxed and comfortable. The engine feels as refined as it can be. For the mileage freaks, I've ridden ~40km on highway and rest in city (Kanpur). And the fuel efficiency is 39kmpl and this is of course before the first service. Also, two things I personally like more on the RTR is the quality of fiber and materials used and, of course, the exhaust note.

Very few channels have been able to make this level of comparo and no doubt you stand ahead of all. And now I think its a high time to bring RE Himalayan back with owners review after almost 6 mnths of use since Himalayan still remains one of the most searched bike on youtube. keep it up. cheers

I am booked ns 200 2017.it cost 112000 on road prices in chennai.

Both are great bikes. But when it comes to reliability TVS scores over Bajaj. Apache RTR engines are more durable than Pulsar engines.

Dino's vault , in the powerdrift review , 0-60 carb goes in 3.6 in rtr and ns 200 goes in 3.7.. so how did u tell that ns is faster than rtr?

Instead of saying just positive things about the both bikes.. Just say ok guys this bike is better that the other one.. Plus when i watched your gixxer sf vid back in time.. (After watching hundreds of gixxer sf reviews before) i was expecting you to comment on the problems like crappy headlight, hard gears, useless pillion seat, heating issues.. But i heard non of these in yours.. I was genuinely disappointed.. Anyway i wish best of luck for future projects 👍

I personally would choose NS 200 , because inspite of having abs option RTR abs variants still aren't available , NS 200 now has abs with a massive 300 mm front disc , liquid cooling , better seats , highly refined engine and of course cheap and good spare parts availability

great review.Its very hard to decide among these two beautiful bikes.But then comes another option into my mind-Dominar!!Some 40k more and you get a much better headlight setup,slipper clutch,Superb engine,dual channel abs. Plz Mr.Dinno,help me out,what to buy??

Halo Dino Bhai, Can you Explain Are The Power figures of Pulsar 200Ns practical? I mean Torques and Pickup are at high rev band which makes it useless in city condition.? And Top speed figures of both are not too far ... 2nd question Fit And Finish And Quality Of RTR200 seems much better compared to P200Ns Is it true?

I'm eagerly waiting for Pulsar ns 150 and 160 to launch in india. or else I'll go with apache rtr 160. so can you please tell me the expected launch date of Pulsar ns 150 and ns 160 and also which should I pick between pulsar ns 150 & 160 or apache rtr 160? waiting for reply 😀

Ns is now available with abs and apache still isn't even after two years . not even one apache has got abs.they will give abs in 2018march stop being fooled by tvs

what about service cost ,availability of spare parts? which bike is good for long term and easy to maintain?

in bike review everyone tells about the things given in the company manual but not about the performance in long distance travelling like Pune-Mumbai in which, most important thing is the power delivery of bike (tork) at it's 2nd and 3rd gear at mountain area road with double seat performance.

Hi Dino, Is there any Bike in India which is a jack of all trades? Good built, Vibration free or very less vibration, comfort for rider and pillion, easy in city and stable in the highway, refined and reliable engine, decent mileage, easy to cruise at 90 to 100, Good tubeless tyres and breaks and not too heavy. I'm going to complete 50000 kms on my Honda Trigger. she did well ,but vibration is something which was spoiling the fun every time I rode her. I think the time has come to think about a new and most importantly vibration free motorcycle. Your advise much needed

Hey Dino, you are doing a great job !! keep it up !! I felt that , though you have compared everything, you missed to compare the instrument cluster. In my opinion TVS has done a great job in providing a great looking instrument cluster which gives premium feel. That said, TVS Apache scores higher than Pulsar in this respect.

I m using rtr 200 nd it gives me 38 to 42kmpl i think it's good

Amazing work sir... I am using NS 200 BS4 model. But the seat is quiet stiff and its very painful for long ride. Do we have any solution to that.
