@@LogPileGaming Got the Atlas... and by far it is the best glass/mousepad I have used. Don't get me wrong Artisan and Saturn pro are legit, but I wanted a consistent "glass pad". I feel mouse skates vary in experience of different mice making it less consistent. Super happy with this purchase!

Loving the skypad. Def took some time getting used to it coming from always using control pads. But I feel my skill ceiling is potentially higher. Just wish skypad would make a XXL. as a 50cm+/360 player I find my self running out of space and having to lift more than usual. Just bought the XXL Superglide pad so I'm looking forward to trying that. Fingers crossed for a XXL skypad. But they seem to concerned with dropping anime themed pads rather than a new size.
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming 9 месяцев назад
I haven't got the space for a bigger pad 🤣 but you raise a fair point. Man, I'd love a man cave 🤣 I play at just over 50cm these days and have spent some time on my moise recentering. The size of my glass pads is rarely an issue for me now, but it took some effort to get to this point. You should check out TJ Exclusives, the kin is a killer pad, and they have a huge option for it too

On the Pulsar website, they show a picture of 5 layers. The top layer is some kind of "special texture finish surface", as they call it. If I understood correctly, this top layer is not glass but rather some kind of textured finish that can wear down over time. Boardzy mentioned that this mousepad has a break-in period, and it feels smoother and less scratchy the more he uses it, which is very disappointing. I thought these glass mousepads are supposed to not wear down and should provide the same consistent feeling permanently...

Nice review and comparison 🎉 I'm looking forward to joining the glass pad. But the sound is the problem for me lol Maybe someday anyone will make a hybrid glass pad product? Glass on bottom and cloth on the top layer. Alol

@Aithey
@Aithey Год назад
What leads you to believe Atlas is more of control surface though? Fingers on the surface isn't really a good indication of how fast/slow the surface is. Also, pressing down the surface with a mouse, especially when tracking the skypad has significantly more stop/drag to it than the Atlas. I don't have a Pulsar to compare unfortunately, I just don't think the mouse gliding across the surface without weight distributed on top of it is a good representation of it's speed either.
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming Год назад
Hey Aithey, I played with the Skypad for 4 weeks before my review and feel like I understood the pros and cons of the pad due to my time on it, I had a similar (maybe longer) time on the Atlas, and again, feel like I understand it pretty well. I promise you I haven't just ran my fingers over them to inform my review. Have you seen my atlas review? It feels like it brings my mouse to a stop quicker than the other pads do, in my opinion, it has higher friction or the coating applied has an impact I can feel when I play. This is not to say you are wrong, or that I am right. But my opinion, based on how I play on the pad, is that the Atlas offers more control - not ALOT of control, but more than the Skypad.

do u think in tac shooters there is a big difference between the atlas and the skypad since the atlas is more controll based? ive bought the newest skypad drop (yume) and i play csgo. of course i have these thoughts in my mind: "maybe i should have gotten the atlas instead"...
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming Год назад
To me the difference is very noticeable, the difference is even higher between the Skypad and the Cerapad Kin (kin being EXTREMELY controlled by comparison) but some people can make the Skypad work in TacFPS too, I guess it depends on your skill level 🤔 The Yume is beautiful isn't it! I do love the Skypad, it's just too fast for me and my skill level!

Nice video! My question will be about the durability? Which one have the best durability
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming 10 месяцев назад
Hey there 😁 I would guess the Skypad and Pulsar have better durability due to the lack of a coating. But I'd be amazed if you manage to break one of these by accident. they're very strong and after a while of using them you'll realise this isn't really a concern you'll need to focus on.

@WestVirginiaWildlife Год назад
I found a white razer deathadder v3 pro on the amazon warehouse as "used - acceptable" for like $65 and I think I'll add the white razer atlas to compliment it lol. Annoying that it is smaller than the other glass pads, that's the main concern I have in buying it.
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming Год назад
That's a steal!! I would like to try the DAV3 pro too but I'm very happy with my EC1-CW for now (definitely not a cheap option!). I think you've got a killer combo there, good speed on the pad (but not too much) and great mouse offering a good balance for stability and speed. Keep me posted how you go :) I'm using the Zowie EC1-CW and Cerapad Kin at the moment and love the polar opposite experience it provides compared to HSK Pro and Skypad combo.
@WestVirginiaWildlife
@WestVirginiaWildlife Год назад
@@LogPileGaming Hey, I've been using it for a decent bit and I really like the smooth gliding feel of the mousepad and the deathadder weight balance and size make it feel lighter than my mm731. It can fill up my hand more. I definitely need to get an arm sleeve, is the skypad one the best option? I noticed that the pad can more easily pick up microadjustments making it feel like I can aim better. Overall it's amazing lol.
@LogPileGaming
@LogPileGaming Год назад
@West Virginia Wildlife That's great to hear West!! Sleeve options are dependent on your grip and arm size i think. If you have think arms, you might struggle with the Skypad sleeve, i had to rip mine slightly to get my noddle arms in and i bought the biggest option. Skylad is great though, if you want the hand to be covered cos it eliminates all skin contact with the pad. I would say if you want a diff option, maybe more suitable to a bigger armed person, the ghostglide camo/ghost design sleeve is pretty good 👍
@WestVirginiaWildlife
@WestVirginiaWildlife Год назад
@@LogPileGaming Sounds good. I'd say my arms are thicker than average so I bet the skypad sleeve would be too small, I'll look into the ghostglide one. I was also thinking about getting razers 4k dongle for the mouse to perfect the setup haha.

Great review! As far as the coating on the Atlas, I haven't been keeping up with recent mouse or mousepad info, but has anyone or Razer confirmed the coating may be oleophobic coating? If so, I would NOT recommend using any glass cleaners like Windex or even >90% IPA to clean the Razer Atlas, as it will most likely degrade the coating after one or more wipes. Even with other coatings, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't hold up well to the likes of Windex and high IPA. EDIT: Razer's website states to use warm water and a damp cloth, which would suggest you shouldn't use stronger cleaning products. I hope this piece of info will circulate more around new users of the Razer Atlas to prevent removal of its coating.
