Sorry you didn't like the skypad :( I love mine with corepads and just being able to wipe it once with a cloth and know that it feels the exact same as it did (in every spot) a year ago is great. The inconsistencies of cloth and needing to wash them to keep them feeling the same was annoying. I think the wrist bunching isn't an issue for me because the games I play don't require me to ever really lift my wrist. It can stay planted the whole time. I do have to wipe sweat every 30 minutes or so but that just shows how much sweat (salt, oil, skin, etc) is going into a cloth pad constantly without realizing it.
@kamrankazemi-far6420
@kamrankazemi-far6420 2 года назад
It took me about a week to get used to the Skypad, I got it because after a few months I could never get the cloth mousepads to feel consistent even after cleaning, it was never the same as factory new. I value the consistency of the glass pad, even after a year it feels brand new. Glad you mentioned about the PTFE glides and muddy feel of the mousepad, but even after cleaning my G640 cloth mousepad it feels rough towards the center and smoother at the edges. Anyways great video EDIT: To clean the skypad I just run a lint roller over it and if it ever gets really dirty you get just a wetwipe

i may pick one up. I currently have the Artisian Hien Soft. I use this for work everyday for 3D Modeling and Cam, and after couple months of use, I noticed that the small area I use just doesn't feel as slick as the areas I haven't touched, even after cleaning. And the texture of the mousepad on the area that I use most often looks different too, like its been compressed. I need consistency, something that won't change over time.

I’ve been using superglides with a modded g pro x super light on a lethalgaming Venus pad. When I first set them up just breathing near the mouse made it move, after breaking in both the pad and glides, I really like the setup. Super fast and smooth to where I don’t realize I’m moving anything more than my hand In air. I’d say it’s borderline too fast for flick shooters, but I generally guide the cursor to target and track, so it’s perfect for me.

Aim skill ceiling is highest on Skypad. It's insanely good, consistent and durable too. Only downsides are that it eats through mouse feet and that any dust/hairs that fall into it are extremely noticeable and you 100% need to remove them

Been using the SkyPad 2.0 for a while now and can say that I generally prefer it over PTFE skates and a cloth pad. I also tried superglides which were alright, but the inconsistencies on my cloth pad lead me back to using the SkyPad. I generally don't have sweaty hands or arms when I'm gaming, so I believe that's a major reason why I continue to use the SkyPad over any of my other pad.

Adding to the superglide, the Razer Strider mousepad (maybe because of the rough surface) has a noticeably inconsistent feeling if not watched monthly. It also shows some shiny particles on the dirty part of the mousepad, which tanks the smoothness even further. The dirty part of the Razer Strider would be similar to a QCK Edge (my old mousepad), while the clean one would be very fast, making traversing from the clean to dirty quite jarring.

Interesting video, as I'm the complete opposite! Historically I've never used mousepads because even the smoothest cloth feels like it's chafing my wrist. So, I've always used a wooden desk with a very glossy/low-friction surface finish. This seems like it would be right up my alley! (I also don't throw my hand across the desk w/low DPI settings, and generally keep my wrist pinned most of the time)

Currently have both a Skypad 2.0 XL and an Artisan Hien Mid XL (Also had a Shidenkai), and have mucked around with multiple combos of mousefeet on them (PTFE on the Shidenkai, Lexips and PTFE on the Skypad, as well as PTFE and Superglides on the Hien)...currently settled with the Superglides on the Hien combo atm.
@isakh8565

If you use teflon feet, the Shidenkai will wear out fast. I think it's the residue from the feet that gets stuck in between the glass beads. If you use ceramic feet however, I noticed zero wear over 2 years use. I would imagine it would be the same for the Superglides.

Being a serial tinkerer myself and always searching for what may give me an advantage I have tried the superglides with multiple pads and had the same results as you. I don't like glass pads so I haven't tried the skypads. I had high expectations of the superglides and I love what they offer and how they perform..... until they turn into a muddy mess. Also, I think the Shidenki is being discontinued and does have durability issues. The Raiden is a fantastic feeling fast pad but it will cause spin outs occasionally. I would probably main this pad if it didn't. I'm also an aussie and happy to lend you the pad, if you did want to experiment with it and would like to hear your thoughts. to me is is still faster than what my superglides have been after they broke in after a week. Keep up the great content and hopefully run into you in Apex again

had the superglides and reeeaaally loved them. I've never had less issues with tracking in Apex and had my highest-kill game with them. But the fact, that you couldn't click without moving and vibrations on your desk led to mouse movement were things I couldn't get used to. I still have the Superglides on my Outset AX but changed to Tiger Ice on my NP-01. Aas you said, not as fast and easy tracking, but balanced and consistent. And I get to play CS or Valorant, too. Maybe if they'd create some Superglides with a tad more stopping power this would be a thing even Pro's could change to.

It really depends on mouse grip cuz for me, there’s no contact between my wrist and mousepad to pivot and my pinky is curled to hold the mouse so just my nail or the tip of my pinky touches the pad. I’ve been using skypad for almost a year and the speed is really for me.

I bought a skypad a few months ago and I love every second of using it. I came from cloth to g440 and I already had the sweat problem there. I picked up one of those artist gloves (I don't know if it's called that but those pinky and ring finger gloves they use to draw on tablets) and that worked for me on the g440 and I love it on my skypad. I only wear it while playing FPS games. it does get sweaty and needs to be washed but the sweat doesn't bother me on the pad anymore. my cat on the other hand... every time she walks over my skypad I need to wipe the hair off. unlike my g440 she doesn't like sitting on it and block my mouse. maybe that's because the glass feels cold on her toebeans.

im using skypads 3 with no mouse skates on g pro super light, and it feels super good, very consistent. my arm does get stuck on the mousepad since i dont use sleeves, but most of the time i dont even feel anything at all, and that is also how i get the feedback for control and with some parts of my palm as well. with the sleeves, its much harder to control. 10/10 experience for me not having to clean a mousepad all the time is just so convenient. and other problems with it are just easy to fix. I use it for CS, and i believe it works on all games as long as u get use to it. i think any pad with good, consistent glide and big is good, glass ones even better. and its great for if u r bringing it to a tournament too, if ur teammates arent performing great, well it can feel good smacking them with it too 🙃

ive had the skypad 3.0 for about 3 months now and I have to say it is by far my best purchase. more expensive but its definitely worth it. I got a sleeve with a thumb hole and it eliminates all the cons he said in the video. definitely recommend!

@@liftin21 Wow?!? Like same glide after 6 months ?! Really ? It doesn’t glide lil bit less at least ? Check on the edge of the mousepad with your mouse if that still the same glide effect (rarely edge is used with the mouse that’s why I’m asking to compare with the glide of the edge with your mouse) btw im hesitating into pulsar superglide (mousepad not mouse skate ) and Skypad ..thanks for your reply !

I got a copper sleeve with the glove at the finger are cut off but I cut off every finger hole but the thumb covers my hand perfect . It would be perfect for the sky pad

So the issue with sticking, they make gloves, one came with my Gaomon tablet, but they make gloves that cover your hand and pinky finger. You could use this for the glass pad if you have this issue

Skypad 2.0 was great but I would feel small specs of dust and stuff and the glide would scratch. That's why I got off it after a little less than a year and switched to glorious ice.

I've got the Skypad 3.0, i use it with an armsleeve and tiger pad on my G pro X, smoothest feeling i've got ( i use a little electric rug for reptile under the skypad to make it warm when i play x) ) But as you said for 99% of the people i don't think it's usefull to go this far, an MPC450 ( 20$) with an G305 (30$) is more than enough for a good gaming setup

I have been using the skypad 3.0 for about 3 months now. I never had problem sticking unless it's super hot. I bought a arm sleeve and I honestly don't feel like I need it. Flicks are not very easy, but with practice, it gets easy, tracking is insane, I feel like I have aim assist sometimes. If you don't sweat while gaming, I think skypad is no brainer, it's always consistent, a quick wipe down before playing is all the maintenance you need. Humidity doesn't affect performance which is something I had a problem on cloth pads with hyperglide, which was my setup before, where everyday day it would feel different, some days I had good aim, other I didn't. Now it's pretty consistent

@@celzolsen8988 no. Feels kinda the same. I switch mice probably like every month, so I can’t judge the wear of skates, but the pad. It’s actually still beautiful.

I bought a brand new Logitech G pro wireless superlight and Artisan HAYATE OTSU mousepad, is it worth upgrading the stock skates to Corepad in your opinion?

I've been using the old Hyperglides with a Skypad and G-Pro Wireless for the past 4 months and I feel like I've reached a point in my aim that I wouldn't have reached with my old mousepad. You can definitely get used to it. The arm sleeve doesn't really change much for me even if I sweat a lot on the Skypad.

Brotha i know you typed this a year ago but dont use glass skates on a Skypad. You will damage the pad. But hows it going (Gaming wise) with the Skypad.

@@rasmushansen7162 I might've mentioned the wrong glide name, idk. Superglides? Hyperglides? Anyway, pad is great. Literally endgame for me. Would not trade this thing for anything. I've spilt so much shit on it by accident as well, and all it takes is wiping it. 💀
