shit man things have changed a lot since 2011. my high school won PSA in 2010 and since then i havent really kept up with the scene at all. but the writing, the musicianship, the whole thng has just grown in the best way. im really impressed by these shows this year
I love the song that this is based on. I think the visuals at the beginning and throughout the show make it a stronger show overall. The prop use was interesting and I liked the acting from the visual performer. I also really liked the music writing for the front ensemble.
Just practice a lot. my son e was performing. I was there . "good performance". All groups are good but this pit is amazing. Award with first pace 2016.
slightly upset there was no credit given to choreo cookies because this show was obviously heavily inspired by their set... but with that said this was LITTTTTT and cymbal feature
I learned 90% of this show, Took me hours since I didn't have any sheet music, but I feel good about it. No way i'll ever audition though since I'm all the way in Florida. Only part I can't play is Terry's solo(I can play it just not up to tempo.) and 3:00 - 3:16 if only I had a proper instruction on it I could probably do it. (Snare btw)
+Pulse Percussion Sure, see ya in a few years. I need some more 4 mallet education. especially for learning Steven's grip. taught Burton's, but it can't cut do most of the stuff you guys do.
Just practice as much as you can. If you can get a teacher. Metronome, metronome, metronome. Build your strength up. Try to learn some features or shows by ear.
Julian Banks The concept wasn't entirely theirs. A dance group used the song, color theme and overall concept at vibe in 2015, I believe. It is cool seeing the concept performed in a completely different medium, though. :)
this show rocks and they really sounded good. The basses body movement at 1:35 is pretty sloppy for them...maybe a brain fart from nerves or something...eh, still a great show!!!
wow...way to steal the entire choreo cookies routine. does pulse percussion have no shame? or are they that desperate to win that they will steal other people's ideas and call it their own....smh
The ENTIRE routine?!? What are you talking about? They replicated about 15 seconds of it. Also, this is a completely different medium. This is not a fucking dance competition like the Cookies were in. It's an indoor percussion show. You can't look at 15 seconds of choreography and say "wow Pulse stole their entire fucking show!" You also can't ignore, I don't know, the actual PLAYING of the INSTRUMENTS? If you didn't notice, they played very well, which is mostly why they got first place. Do you really think that they got 1st place solely based off of the 15 seconds of body movements they apparently "stole" from the Cookies? I think you forgot that this is WGI. Kind of disrespectful for the amount of work Pulse put into this show.
