Between the Deviate and ForeverRun, which shoe do you like the most? Some reviews claim that when you run at a slow pace in the Deviate, the shoe feels flat and boring, and only at certain faster paces can you feel the responsiveness from the plate. Have you had this experience?

I hear that review about a lot of plated shoes and I generally disagree with them. I think that this a very exciting shoe to run in at a variety of paces. I will also add that as a reviewer who is much larger than many of the other reviewers, it is possible that I get more plate engagement at slower speeds than they do because I generate more force with each footstep, so my disagreement may be just as biased by size as their critique could be, but I think it’s a little too broad a stroke to say that unless you’re running x pace the plate won’t engage or benefit someone, and I’d be a bit wary of a review that says anything that categorically.

To answer the first part of your question I do enjoy both of them, but I tend to gravitate toward the deviate if I’m choosing one shoe over the other. I love doing my long runs in the forever run. I’ve also gotten a pair of magnify nitros (still putting the review together) and I think it blends some of the properties of both shoes nicely.

@@SpiritOfRunning I usually run at a 7-minute per kilometer pace. During interval runs, my speed only reaches around 6 minutes per kilometer. I weigh about 76 kg, so I might not be able to fully appreciate the benefits of the Deviate Nitro plated shoe. By the way, I have the Nimbus 25, which I find quite enjoyable to run in. I also own the Magnify 1, which is a rather dull shoe. I believe the Magnify 2 will be a significant improvement."

@@limta74 The DN2 never feels boring once you put it on, it has the x factor. That said, if you enjoy the Nimbus 25, then maybe the DN2 is not for you. 7 min/km is indeed slow enough cruising for the Nimbus to be the better choice. I mean would you feel bored cruising in a sports car? Probably not, but you''d prefer a Mercedes I guess:)

@@yianpap6093 Actually, I already bought the Deviate Nitro 2. It's a fun, bouncy, and snappy shoe. I enjoy running with it, even at a pace of 7 or faster. I use it primarily for interval runs. However, for anything slower than pace 7 or for super slow Zone 2 runs, I use the Nimbus 25, but now I am looking for a stable neutral shoe to replace my Nimbus 24, which is still my favorite shoe. I can use it for running at super slow to fast paces, and it is very stable due to the plastic plate supporting the arch area. I have shortlisted Forever Run, Endorphin Shift 3, and some Anta brand shoes
