Like a few of the songs on the Blitz soundtrack, it's a decent song ruined by radio stations overplaying it to the point of never wanting to hear it again.
Am I the only one who thinks of the Drew Carey Show theme when I here the chorus? "All the little kids growin' up on the skids they say, Cleveland Rocks, Cleve-land sure does rock"
HMX's policy on how they chart whistles changes around a lot RB1-2: Whistles were charted as talkies RB3: Whistles weren't charted (see: Jealous Guy and Centerfold) Later RB3 DLC: Whistles were charted as "doo doo doo" Now: Whistles are charted on keys
They've charted whistles to vocals in the past, but whistling doesn't work with the mic. I think in a Clash song they listed the whistles as doot do's but I guess they'll chart stuff to keys if keys doesn't have a lot else going on.
I would be fine with this song if it weren't for the vocals being so far in the background, and the song in general being so fuzzy. It could do with being a bit more clear.
Why should we sue you? it's not like you admitted to liking a Nickelback song or something. People actually like FtP and they critics like them too. I think Pitchfork gave this album a 7 or around there and they hate pretty much everything that gets played on the radio.
