Hello sir, thank you for following the channel. How’s work across the pond? Are you guys experiencing the same shortage of operators which we are over here?

You are welcome, I have just completed this job and am looking for work

I can say that the flat closing gates GVM (manual gate valve) are simple closing gates that are opened and closed manually, that is, say, with the help of a hammer. They are available for low pressures up to 20 bar (closing gate for formwork) and applications with high pressures up to 200 bar are a bit uncomfortable to close or open. this reminds me of one of the old school pump videos i see on youtube!! just a little smaller but still a huge pour to me, that thing is running fast huh? bouncing around some, btw like the 2x4s holding up that monster line. i rem the 1st time i used a boom pump on a basement, i was like man that was so much easier than using 2 chutes sitting on ladders. so dangerous

Yeah man, she’s buck’N around half decent! Pumps definitely make things much easier so long as the mix is cooperative 😁

The C.F air cuff will absolutely squeeze the wire braided hose shut when it's set to 70 psi. Easier on the bag and all. Always cool to see other folks doing niche shit. Look forward to many more

Solid info brother, we’ll try adjusting it down to 70 psi on the next pour )bay did sorta look like it was on the verge of exploding when set to 70 psi) 😂😂😂

@Canadian Concrete Pumper I figured out it would squeeze it shut when I was plugged into a 38m deck pipe lol the small truck op was SUPER happy I didn't dump shit all over his stairs lmao Stay safe brother. Until next time......

We use TCI 724-10 HD From Tetra Chem It’s classified as a brushless truck wash which works really good for the lazy days but when you decide to actually scrub it, it’s pretty awesome We buy it in 20L Pail and gets mixed into a 45gal barrel with water.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 we also use their 503 product which is an aluminum brightener and we just found out that they make the DEF for a different company that we buy it from.

I hate it when you are pumping away Good and then you get one truck that's very stiff and makes everyone mad. Here in Ireland we get that and I whould say you get that problem aswell.
@canadianconcretepumper1979

Oh dude; I think that’s the universal problem for pumpers around the globe, story of my life 😂😂😂

That’s why you’re the man. I would have brought one big stick and jacked the front up and left it on 10🤣
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Год назад
In retrospect, that probably would have been the way to go. Only shitty thing about using one pump is that if it croaks, the pour is left dead on the water.

I have a question peaking my curiosity. System pours aside, what number is your volume on when priming with a single 4-5in hose off the boom? I noticed you always say nice and slow. I’ve seen so many different routines, and many guys that hammer it through on the prime full volume. I personally have always primed on 5-6. Not too slow, and not too fast. Always looking for more efficient/safe ways of doing things, but aren’t we all. Thank you again for all of the great content Scott! I really look forward to seeing your upcoming videos each week. Keep it up and Pump on sir!

With Grout and a 63z, 3-4 and full rpm. Water/slick pack, hammer down
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Год назад
As Greg had mentioned, with grout you can pretty much hammer down, I just don’t like our guys doing it that way because occasionally if it does jam up on the prime, it’s been hammered in there so tight that now we’re pulling pipes apart. For conventional situations (priming through just a boom with regular mud) I prefer to prime more slowly as our mixes are quite heavy on fine materials. Speed=pressure, pressure=dry-packing. There’s little to be gained and lots to be lost with priming fast using our local mud. The consensus seems to be that areas with more coarse/rocky mixes find benefit to priming through at a rapid pace. I think it really depends on the material which you’re working with. The other benefit of priming slow with out material is that of it does get cranky in the pipes there’s plenty of time to switch her into reverse and pull the mud back before it becomes jammed right into the pipeline. Couple strokes back followed by a few strokes forward we can fight almost anything through on the prime….. operative word being “almost” 🤣🤣🤣

Is that a high pressure clamp connected to the placing boom? I think I’d rather use a bolt clamp rather then the standard handle, I’m just a little skeptical, especially with no safety pin lol
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Год назад
It’s a standard metric snap-clamp rated at 85 bar. The bolt together style clamps are typically used with heavy-duty flanges. That first short pipe which the double-ended metric hose from the boom is connected to adapts from metric to heavy duty (metric flange at the inlet, heavy duty at the outlet). The clamp is actually pinned with wire (just tough to see it in the video footage).
