This was really interesting, but I really had hoped for some advice on how to actually help pump effectively at work. How do we find the right schedule and environment? I appreciate that this type of advice is your business though.

Realistically, I can’t help you all with everything to make this work in a 15 minute youtube video 🙈 pumping is an art and there’s really a lot of little things that go into making it work well. I’ve broken everything down into a step by step process though inside my program! I wish it was a quick tip solution but it really isn’t and everyone is a bit different on what works best for them. I have found that really understanding all aspects of pumping efficiently and then transferring that to the workplace PLUS easy access to an expert for individualised questions has been the best way to get the best results! Both with milk supply and overall satisfaction with the pumping experience. I hope that helps! I’d be happy to talk more if you’re interested 💕 Www.Newlittlelifelessons.Com/working-moms-program

My 4 month old is in daycare as I work from home and I didn't experience this honeymoon phase, probably because the comfort of being at home. But I wanted to share with y'all that being comfortable, relaxed maybe even looking at baby photos/videos while pumping helps with let down. I also track my pumping sessions using the free app called Baby Tracker so that I know the time I last pumped/breastfed. This helps me know how long it's been since my last "milk extraction" was and I try to aim for every 2.5hrs and not push it pasted 3hrs. Yes meetings pop up so I make the effort to pump right before the meeting and/or right after, no matter what the case is the time in between pumping sessions is as close to 2.5 hrs or 3hr or less. If it's over that it's still ok, just extract as soon as possible. Staying hydrated is key as well. I pop baby on the breast the rest of the time I'm not at work as we are always together. If his hand is in his mouth/showing hunger/rooting signs I'm going to pop the breast in. This also helps increase the supply & demand. Please try not to stress or think about stressful things as this puts us in "fight or flight" state of mind and our bodies prefer to be in survival mode than to let down milk. Also if you are working from home don't do chores while pumping, this is an additional "stress" as I have noticed i don't produce as much as other pumping sessions. Best of luck to all the pumping mamas and thank you so much for posting this video as more and more of us are hoping to keep our milk supply up.

I have a 3 month old(baby #4) I go back to work right after new years. I have never had to work while breastfeeding full time. Nursing this time around has been a breeze. I’m panicking because I will have to pump at work. I am a teacher. I have no break from 8am-1pm. I bought a wearable pump to use until my break. Then I can use my regular pump. Any advice?

Janna this is hard!! Yes, if it helps you not skip that pump I’d say go with a wearable and a regular one when you can. Good luck!!! If you want more help navigating this backyard to work transition, let me know, that’s what I do! Www.Newlittlelife.Com/pumping-for-working-moms
