Watching you cuddle brings back so many memories. We farmed in the 1950s and early 60s in the mid west USA. I love the sweet smell of the cows and how loving they were! As kids we would bond with the female calves as we knew they would stay with us. I’m 74 and haven’t worked on a farm in 60 years. I can still smell the barn in early mornings and I miss it!
Name =pumpernickel 😊 You and Pumpkin snuggling is so sweet. Amazing that such a big cow has such trust in you. Hope she spends her natural life on the farm with you.
Hello, Neline! Loved the Pumpkin footage! She is such a snugglebug with you! Your horses look great, too. Can't wait to see you ride them again.OK, so for Pumpkin's second calf, there are some great suggestions below from fellow "Prairie Heads" lol. Here's my suggestion: Paisley, for those adorable spots. Or, Pearl. :) Thanks and Cheers!
Pumpkin is so sweet. I like any of the Dutch names you picked out for her second baby and my family to is her first calf as sweet as her. I hope the birth I hope all goes good for her having her baby. Really enjoyed the video we enjoyed to watch the milking and a sweet pumpkin
I love the idea of the Ducth name for Pumpkins 🎃 second calf if it is a heifer. I also agree that sometimes you have to see the babies first to know what their name should be. I had two names chosen for my son because I wanted to see if the name was a good fit for him.😊
Pumpkin's in trouble again and never even had a first date. Sweet cow. Sounds like you have great name choices in mind already. Hope all goes well with the new calf.
I'm loving your videos from here in Aylmer On. Did you have Pumkin classified? What was her B.C.A.? Amazing progress on your farm over the years. Have fun and enjoy!
Hopefully you get to 85 or more. I know pedigrees don't mean as much as they used to when I was farming I'm sure it is still fun building some good cow families. Thank you for good entertainment.
Neline greetings from upstate NY! Curious why the cows kick when you clean and then milk them…. Would they do that in a natural environment feeding their calfs? My name is George which is associated with farming this my interest!
