Whoa! I thought I was done playing the Punch-Out!! series, but they pull me back in... Punch-Out!! The Master Edition includes every single Punch-Out!! opponent in the entire series, except Donkey Kong and Doc Louis from the Wii version. All put into the original engine. This thing is awesome. You can also choose from different version of Lil Mac, I chose the version that stacks stars like the Wii, and turns out it makes the game way harder lol. It has no real ending, and you can fight any opponent at any time. This, to me, is the definitive version of the classic.

Kid Quick should really go to the doctor and get that condition checked out where arrows appear above his afro telegraphing where he's punching. Seems like boxing would be a bad career choice 🤔

The first knockdown on Bob was perfectly timed so that the music seemed like it was building to the Opponent Down theme lol

Great Tiger's move is actually better in this version. You're presented with the real Tiger and the afterimage, and you have to decide if he's coming from the left or right. I like the music too. When was this done? Seems the PC version can't render animations as well as the NES.

This may just be me, but Kid Quick should be in the World Circuit considering that he ranked higher than Bald Bull in the original Punch-Out. Instead, Dragon Chan should be in the Major Circuit because he was second to last in the original Super Punch-Out and was Ranked #2 in the Major Circuit for the SNES Super Punch-Out.

Why is Bear Hugger before Piston Hondo?

It might be because of where they were across all games. Bear Hugger was the Minor Circuit 2nd opponent on Super Punch Out (SNES), while Piston Hondo was the Minor Circuit Champion and the World Circuit 1st opponent on Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.
