So there was a bug that happened while I was playing Mac's Last Stand. Picture this: you won a bunch of fights in a row (I remember it was Glass Joe, then Disco Kid, then Great Tiger, followed by Bald Bull, Von Kaiser, and Bald Bull again in that order), and then the next fight starts... and there's no one there. You're left literally fighting the air. Yeah, that's what happened to me. I was so confused, and despite there not being anyone, I was still losing hearts when I tried throwing punches. So the fight lasted until round three, and because of that, I lost by decision. Let's put it this way, losing because I suck at a game is one thing, but losing because of a bug that I had no control over (and keep in mind, this was on Mac's Last Stand, so losing meant ACTUALLY losing) is just bloodboiling...
If they polish this game up more without it being so stiff this would be a great fan game! The movements need a lot of work, but the concept and all is exactly what gamers want in a remake of Punch out for the Wii! Also, they really need to get rid of the tired animation because when you are at zero hearts you wait FOREVER with most every boxer to do something!.... They need to fix that, or just get rid of it completely because it really sucks waiting 1 minute, thirty seconds with a few of them (and that is NO exaggeration!) Fix the animations of the punches are they are still not tight like the nes version at all, fix the tired animation or least have the boxers throw punches more so not to waste our time, fix the hit boxes as some punches are just really cheap, and add in more versions of the boxers like their title defense versions (that isn't a gripe, it is just something we all want and would love)...and you might have the best version of Punch Out here. But mostly, do something about the waiting forever bit when you get tired and have to wait for three punches to be thrown which takes FOREVER...that is my biggest gripe.
Why tf does this Soda Pop got more balls than OFFICIAL Soda Pop? That bottle was NOT plastic like in Wii, that shit was legit glass he shattered over his head...
The whole thing is great, but disco kid has animation like he is Narcis Prince or something. Compare with the animation of Don Flamenco who dances and moves quite a bit.
