In this vlog of Pune metro rail work progress series, we’ll talk about METRO RAIL TRANSIT ! Metro is a name synonymous to easy to use, reliable, cost effective, safe, comfortable, eco friendly & efficient urban Transport all over the world. I have been to various countries in the world and experienced amazing metro projects but what gets me going really is when I see that here in India. So lets look at the history of metro trains in India and how Pne Metro is getting the best of all these worlds. Being late isn't the worst thing !
1. 1984- Kolkata Metro
2. 2003- Delhi metro
3. 2011- Bengaluru metro/Namma Metro
4. 2013- Gurgaon Metro
5. 2014 Mumbai Metro
6. 2015 Jaipur Metro
7. 2015- Chennai Metro
8. 2017 - Kochi Metro
9. 2017 - Lucknow Metro
10. 2017 - Hyderabad Metro
11. And there are various metro projects which are already under construction- Nagpur Metro , Noida Metro, Ahmedabad Metro, Navi Mumbai Metro, Pune Metro, Kanpur Metro, Visakhapatnam Metro, Surat Metro, Patna Metro, Coimbatore Metro, Guwahati Metro and a lots and lots more.

Great update. The new Karve Road section near Savarkar memorial which you noticed began just an evening before your video. It was also appropriate that you reviewed other metro systems in India. I admire your perseverance and efforts and the boundless energy that you have apparently put into this blog. Hopefully in the next blog we will see some specifics about the underground section and what is happening to the NGT case ( hearing on 7th May ) and the yards at Vanaz and interchange behind the civil courts. Keep them coming, we are eagerly awaiting your next one.

I think Surat Metro project has not started yet, and Kanpur metro project had been stuck for more than a year now. A revised DPR is in process for Kanpur.

Amol Chandane Swargate to Katraj is being considered as an extension to the same PCMC-Swargate line. Its still under discussions and feasibility analysis is being done. It will picked up once first phase is complete.

Bhagwant Kudalkar extension have not been confirmed yet.. In phase 1, metro is been developed till Ramwadi..

Rehan Arya It's reaching up till Ramwadi in first phase. Kharadi extension isn't confirmed yet !

Is it possible for you to help.me with some video footage of the work in progress, trial runs and stations which I can utilize for this. I will also need some information about the footage(locations, details of progress) of possible. I am.not very much familiar with various locations in Nagpur and I haven't been to Nagpur also. That's the challenge. But we can still create a video if you can help me with this. 😊

aswin kakulavarapu Well I am one of them who loves my country to the core. But to be honest, from 'Public transportation' perspective, I think it is fucked up since ages. Reasons can be many, from politicians to people to processes, but what matters is the end result. And for public transport, the end reasult is 'A fucked up system'. But I agree that it's changing fast.. and changing for good !

No man hyderabad is not fucked up in transportantion we have good city bus. MMTS RAILWAYS metro rail(72km) and lots of rikshawas.

Keshava Rao MMTS is not as effective as Mumbai and also speeds are very less. Anyways hyderabad could have be been no 1 city in S India had all these division politics didn't happen.

Sir is your car sturdy and is your metal quality of ur car heavy or light are there bars?! And driving to kanyakumari is unsafe but you rode it. I suggest you volkswagen! And your driving is more so that's a good option. Just a suggestion. I think puinto is not safe.
