You should do more of Regenerative braking in order to increase SOC. I m an EV engineer. Whenever you go downhill, do regen. It can increase 4-5 percent of your SOC

@@emailtojacob swappable battery is s myth brother, because it is practically not possible, different brand uses different battery management system , for swappable batteries, their should alot of service or swappable stations which is whole lot more expensive. Ultra fast charging is also in use brother, where we can charge a vehicle within 15-20 minutes by using dual gun charging method. Although it is going to impact the battery life, but yes with a powerful battery cooling system , this will be the future of EV charging.
@@emailtojacob looking at the Indian scenario, Range optimization is the major challenge we are facing, as different cities have different weather conditions, traffic conditions,stoppage, red light. So range optimization is a major challenge for EV manufacturers. EV would be the future definitely, but with a proper infrastructure, planning and 10/10 support from government authorities. The running cost of an EV is 1/3 of conventional vehicle. So definitely it would be the future. Although Diesel and petrol will not vanish , as for long range like trucks and commercial segment, we cannot go with EV. As commercial vehicle need a long life to run on roads. This is it from my side.
This is a good start for ev but needs much improvement...Despite Paying 18Lakhs ..We won't be able to cover a decent distance of Kolhapur to Goa unless we drive slow without AC and trailing behind trucks !!.. Every road trip will be a hassle...Instead of enjoying the trip we'll be constantly worried about finding charging stations ..Maintaining speed etc
Looking at how fast Tata is developing its infra we think it's just a matter of time ... Also hp and Indian oil have started opening there charging points
There are many petrol pumps which are already installing charging stations We have seen many on HP Though they are not working yet but will see that very soon

U forget the point of electric cars.. they are made to reduce pollution in citis.. in total they emit more carbon than petrol car.. specially in india where most of the grid is coal powered ... Electric trains and cars are very inefficient they waste a lot of energy just to work ... Like a diesel electric locomotive is 30 to 40% efficient .. an electric locomotive is 10 to 15% efficient in total (ie from the fuel to the power at motors which includes the genaration distribution and storage) batteries at current state are not advanced enough to replace petrol or diesel.. just in making of an ev produce like 6 to 10 times more carbon than normal car & if the grid is powered by renewable energy then it will take few years for petrol car to surpass ev emission & if the grid is powered by non renewable energy sources then it will never be able to lower its carbon footprint.. & lithium battery lasts 600 cycles max ev makers set them to 70 or 80 depth of discharge cycle but still they don't go more than 1000 cyles unless they are some special cell
I was also planning to buy it, but after test drive it felt kind of boring for day to day use. I bought a manual thar instead. Respect your choice. I just hope something comes up in EV that doesn't require only accelerator to be pressed. As of now I don't think car enthusiasts will shift to EVs. They are just too easy to drive. Good for normal people though

15 Lac wasted if you have to drive without ac at 50-60 Kmph that too behind trucks to escape wind.. There are better things to do in life than such a disastrous drive, battery cars at the moment is not worth the pain

Even if we are getting more charging stations, ev will increase in number. Ultimately even if 1 car is in front of u for charging u will end up spending almost 2 hr for charging.
E cars are future.Initially there are problems in charging.But with time their nos will increase.Then no tension of charging.It is only cost of e -car that is on higher side. Your video excellent on information.
Good trick with the tow behind the truck ... Also switching off AC will always help in critical situations... Infact the best way to kill range anxiety is switch off the AC

The only sustainable future for EVs is if we have a battery rotation system. Where all car manufacturers have standard batteries and once close to discharge they can be exchanged at a refilling station. The fee will be based on a charge meter at the station which calculates the differences in the charge of new battery minus the old. Basically no car owner will own the batteries, the batteries will belong to the company and keep rotating. If a car owner mishandled, steals of looses a battery they need to buy a new one. Charging stations would give only exchanges.
Isn’t the whole floor of the electric car packed with battery packs? Don’t think it is practical to swap. Battery tech has to improve to allow for super-fast charging.

how does it feel when you buy expensive E car , and then keep taking tension of charging all the time on highway....that too with AC off.... 🥴🥴🥴👎👎👎 unless Indian govt bring some scheme on all petrol pumps on highway for charging... m not buying it at all. BTW I also love Tata ❣️
Charging Stations Require High Tension wires and having High Tension wires at Petrol pumps is much more dangerous So Govt has to plan for dedicated Charging stations first You guys have shown the real problems of EV owners which mostly all the Companies and automobile reviews channels do not tend to tell you honestly Thank you @noicefactory

That's the major problem in EV AS OF NOW THAT'S WHY people ar avoiding ev... We need atleast a range of 400 km in full battery charge.... Reason- India have huge population we can't stand to wait for turn in line to charge a car more Charging Charging station can't solve the problem and issue
Its environment friendly but for now it feels like ghut ghut ke jeena with an electric car. Unless cars with nexon budget gives 300 km of range in any condition, owning one will continue to be a challenge. Kudos to you who are paving the way to make this a reality.
Solution is simple. Every car manufacturers should install their charging point at every present petrol pump. Charging points should charge at least five cars at a time of their company only. Future for EV is bright. Thanks to you for making this much awaited blog.
Fantastic blog, before buying my EV i wanted to check if anyone can complete Pune to Goa. This is a perfect blog for that. My conclusion after watching your both videos is. 1. I need to buy a EV that gives ARAI tested 400+ KM range to travel 2. For traveling with family and with AC and a halt with charging the required range is 400+
Better not to go for ARAI fantasy figures. Really wonder what trip they are on to give such wild numbers! They seem to be more manufacturer centric than customer centric
@@regfernandes6086 yes, you are right. Lot of Nexon owners have managed to extract 250+ range by keeping AC at 26, driving at 50km and by avoiding sudden acceleration. However I do not want to drive to conservatively. One cannot do long journey without good ac and speed of 80km to 100km.
@@rajshetty4820 aabhi nahi lunga. Jab lunga tab 80km speed and AC at 23 pe range 300+ honi chahiye. By 2030 all petrol cars manufacting will stop and diesel engines much earlier to that. So time is ticking and we have to keep close eye on EVs.

So total 3.5 lakh rupees is extra when compared to EV cars. but when an EV CAR is driven for 2 lakh kilometre it's Battery has to be replaced which will cost you close to 2.5 lakh rupees. At this point EVs are pain and biggest reason of anxiety. Every 1% drop in battery will make driver anxious. Though EVs are best for those who already have one non EV good car for long drives and want something for daily city commute. EV is best for those who take car daily to the office. ₹2 per km is too cheap. One can buy smaller EV like Altroz or kwid for daily commute. These will zippy performance within city traffic
Nice, but there is only 1 problem in electric vehicle, that is 50% cost of car is BATTERY and we all knows BATTERIES DIE after 3 YEARS, even iPhone and Tesla batteries die and give LESS RANGE after 3 YEARS. So max you will be able to use this battery for 5 YEARS if you use it properly, then you have to REPLACE which will cost you 5.5 LAKH RUPEES. All the MONEY YOU SAVED WILL BE COMPENSATED and in the end your cost will be almost equal to that of a petrol/diesel vehicle. Not to mention the "Time Waste" of waiting for a vehicle to charge, consider time as money as well.
Hi, as tata says they are giving 6 years or 1.60 lakh km of battery warranty anything happened before that it’s a free replacement of battery & ya its true time to time battery health gets weak n we can get less range, If anything such happens i guess tata will surely help for this. As charging time & travel time is concerned We usually take breaks for eating in that time we charge our car Usually it takes 1hr to fully charge the car depending on what percentage we plug in & also if you’re planning for a longer route for eg. pune to goa, in a normal car it takes around 7-8hrs n in Nexon Ev it takes u around 12hrs So definitely it takes time to reach the destination aswel. How is it while overtaking at 100% charge and less than 50% charge. Like non electric cars it's battery is not charging while running.? Hey we are glad that you enjoyed the video so much ... the car easily touches 100+ and the performance drops only below 25% and it drops drastically below 10% ... petrol genset is a good idea but we wanted to cover the trip to showcase how we can do it with only using charging stations and home charge . If you have noticed in the video the car recharges battery with braking so it does recharge but it's very less .
Its not only travelling Team, it's all about pollution control for our future generations. Reduce Noise n Air pollution Save foreign currency which leads to nation building. Good work 1st buying EV. 2nd promoting EV. I bought Nexon XMA for same route, a wonderful Family Car 2years ago, not thinking Tata will bring EV so quickly. Surely My next will be EV.

I own Nexon EV . I am from KERALA. 200kms is the Maximum Range Ac charging is mostly preferred (8hours) DC fast charge to be used LIMITED (1hour). In DC charge 80% quickly it fill up and later slow down

I think electric car is running on highway thats why it is giving less range.. in city it might give more range as legion technology power regeneration happens on applying brakes. Am I correct?
Regeneration happens on highway too but if you keep pushing it to 80 100 speed then it consumes more power n depletes the battery , we have noticed if you maintain a speed the battery lasts longer regardless of speed !!!

I expect it will take at least 3-5 years in our beautiful country before the local charger availability anxiety for EV users gets resolved. Also, EVs should have 250- 400km range before the enjoyment of distance driving is experienced. No A/C, below 60 kmph driving...thats back to pre 1980s..... These are pioneering efforts. Kudos to you guys. I would do solo Ranikhet to Chennai and return drives annualy in my Triumph Herald in the pre 1980s and this sounds a lot like it. Slow speeds, no back up, where are the logistic centres... issues! Patience..we will get there one day, with EVs, the sooner the better.😇

I think it will cost more because you need to frequently stop and consume some food for saving time which will also charge some money and that sequence is occurred because of car so you need to charge extra stuff
Mg gives free coffee 😜 jokes apart you do spend on tea n coffee but that usually when you are on long routes you do on pit stops after every 200+ kms , I'm sure many people do cover long routes without taking breaks but in general people do takes these breaks anyways !!
Good video. Drivers like me who don't go beyond 60kmph should look for this car as alternative for saving fuel costs. Only concern is battery replacement cost and charging points. Well future is electric cars and I'm very much interested. Cheers!!
