It's a matter of reach. The powerful assume that as long as Castle's resources are limited, they can be safe. Having heavy hitting supers means they won't be targeted because Castle isn't suicidal. Being far away from Castle puts them out of attack range (or so they think) so they're safe. A war machine suit gives him the firepower to smash through high B mid A class supers and gives him GLOBAL strike range. That's a terrifying prospect for anyone who might be on Castle's hit list. This isn't Captain America coming to arrest you, this is Castle coming to murder you and there is likely nothing you can do about it. That info getting out could drive up criminal suicide rates, it's that frighting. Which is what makes it interesting on some level. Frank Castle has never had this much reach and this much firepower to work with before that I'm aware of. How does this change how he operates? What are his new priorities? Does he hit a point where he feels like he might be going to far? (No, but people will question it.)

They did a crossover comic in the 90s. Batman actually saves the Joker from the Punisher as Frank had a gun to the Jokers head. Punisher basically says how many times have you put this maniac in Arkham to have him kill again, and again.

That's an issue I've had with comics for along time. At first, the idea enticed me as I felt like I was getting numerous adaptations of the same story as it went along. But overtime, comic art has slowly dropped like a balloon losing helium.

I think Punisher would win because he'd use the suit in ways that Tony hasn't thought of due to his overwhelming combat experience. He basically doesn't take a break, he just identifies a bad guy and takes him down. His daily routine is basically fighting and he's been doing it since before Tony even made the first armor. Punisher beat Spiderman in the Iron-Spider armor so even without the armor Frank would be all Tony could handle.

90s....I havent bought comics other then trades since 2003..80s and 90s was when id get my diamond catalog and mark everything I wanted monthly,and special editions...I miss the local shops where the guy knew me and would have my stack waiting on me each week. While its amazing to see the success on the big screen,I dont understand why,now that geek culture is in,the comic industry is hurting.then again...ive read quite a few trades and I kinda get it.basically,theres no continuity anymore,retcon this,reboot that....at this point it seems theyre throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

And honestly, Im ashamed to be buying Doomsday Clock, given Alan Moore's feelings on the industry. Hopefully Garth gets back to work on Punisher MAX soon so I can give Marvel a few bucks. Punisher Platoon has been decent, if you're into war movie type stuff.
