The figure that purifies the world descends among the daylight like a divine goddess. Few know the sufferings and agony she has to bear behind the crowd. #punishinggrayraven #PGR
Makes sense that our Commandant is "Strong" within the M.I.N.D. It actually fits within context as the commander of Gray Raven is Mentally responsible for keeping their squad's THREE M.I.N.D.'s plus their own in check when dealing with the Punishing Virus's effects. That just goes to show our Commandants willpower is fricken absurdly OP as hell. Also Liv's family legit sent her to be a sacrifice so they wouldn't get called into the draft, and Liv wasn't even aware they thought so little of her. She's suffered & 4 what?
Don’t forget that Commandant connected with the leader of the Ascendants and survived. Yeah, he had a few side effects, but he was still normal afterwards
That voice, is it Lee? The game and official youtube videos always refer to commandant in neutral terms (or both.) It cannot be them, then. Confusing timing for inserting Lee’s voice.
To be fair you are established as being one of the most powerful (if not _the_ most powerful) MIND beacons out there, and I assume that sequence was taking place in Liv's MIND.
It's been mentioned before that Commandant has a mechanical Exo-skeleton when on the battlefield. I think the metal across the back of the hands is part of it....
Liv is the nicest and the sweetest and the one who cares about everyone and wishes them well, a literal angel. Yet she's the one suffering the most so far(at least for me) which makes it even more sad and heart wrenching. I didn't cry, but I must say that a couple of tears slipped down when I watched this during the 1.5th Anni stream.
Commandant to OP helping Lucia on opening the door to save Liv I felt that he was like a boss taking a stroll on that place like it was his back garden
Thing is, while Lucia was struggling and all, remember that Commandant can operate and somewhat relieve constructs via M.I.N.D beacon. So in a way, yes, in comparison, it IS a "taking a stroll on that place" if you compare it constructs, which are inherently more vulnerable to Punishing's effect
5:30 The hand coming with the "always together" line, just sends a chill. Also the black tears turning into clear tears after we wipe them off, always beautiful. Liv deserves all the love
@@smittywababla indeed *commandant say as he casually linked to luna ascendant agent while he thumb up and not have his mind ravaged by punishing virus at all
Imagine if there was a boss where the battle happened inside the mind and the commandant just stopped attacks with the palm of his hand like it was nothing
Cool but Commandant is still a human, fragile and weak. He got an enhanced exoskeleton, that is, but it was quite literally nothing compared to even the early Constructs models like Lotus and Eclipse.
@@eclipsewavesif it’s a mental based battlefield then things can really get nutty. Since it’s more of mental concepts and what not then physical ones. That’s why this upcoming chapter hits REAL HARD, since similar to some previous chapters MIND based moments, this one is basically Lucia and the Commandant diving into a MIND overloaded by the influence of punishing virus to pull liv outta said suffocating mass. Which not sure how they spin the story later besides knowing the upcoming CN constructs, certainly leads to more interesting situations that don’t feel like arse pulls of quantum rambles when a plot could be dumb down rather easily without needing gibberish to pad the cutscenes out. Anyway, im certainly also looking forward to the 2nd amplifier’s story that comes after this one also, which has a rather interesting concept for its story and it’s boss fight and how it was some sort of dream like moment? Reason I can be glad PGR does and excellent job of making every event story feel ‘canon’ to the main story with ease and even the events can fit in seemlessly with how they are set up.
@@BladeSerph Yeah that's why I said it. While the Commandant are barely useful in actual physical battlefields, his M.I.N.D. Beacon is said to be the strongest among the Babylonians, so powerful he can literally connect to the leader of Ascendants without sustaining much major injuries.
@@eclipsewaves To be fair it's implied that this is what Commandant does all the time. Beacons were created so that strong willed and specially trained normal humans can fight off Virus attacking psyche of Constructs and help them keep it together. Commandant is also no slouch in combat, but yeah he is still normal human when you compare him to cyborgs on the level of Raiden Hmmm, Jetstream Commandant when :D?
Seeing Liv suffering hurts me a lot... she is so kind and so precious and always cares about everyone... She deserves to be happy 😞 we need to protect her smile! at all costs!
I see this 3 times already. Everytime this feeling of sadness and hope is more and more harder. Let me take care of her and rest of gray ravens like i do this all time. Same for Cerberus and Strike Hawks. Purifying Force and Engineering Force. Constructs are not just a weapon. We enter into deeper part of universe.
i noticed that there's something on Commandant's gloves that says Lorem Ipsum. Knowing KG will put in the tiniest details, I searched the phrase and it came from the Latin "lorem ipsum dolor sit amer" which means "there is no one who loves pain, who seeks after it, wants to have it simply because it is pain." It kind of fits in their whole situation somehow that drives him to do his best in the war against the Virus so that no one will ever feel pain again. Well, knowing Vera, she loves pain because it us the only thing that makes her feel alive XD
Selena arguably still have one of the most worst suffering though, considering that she is being half alive after her frame half destroyed, leaving only her head and ribcage intact. And 2nd time when Selena become the corrupted boss (Seiren) and only able to stop herself through her sheer will. But if we are talking about M.I.N.D alone, then I might put both LIV and Selena at the same bar of suffering. Except Liv experiencing her suffer for long term after M.I.N.D damage.
I would've wanted to see Lee contribute to saving Liv as well. But that doesn't make this animation bad by any means. Also, from what I see, I'm assuming the purpose of Empyrea's frame is to absorb all of the Punishing Virus onto Liv's self?
While it's generally used as placeholder text that's been scrambled to remove meaning, and it's conceivable that someone left it on the model by accident... the individual words do have meaning. Lorem Ipsum translates roughly to "Pain Itself". Was it an accident? Was it deliberate? Was it something in between? Who knows 🤷
@@blahrandomwteva its not lorem Ipsum but "Dolorem Ipsum" which is a latin word hench which part u said is correct, it means "pain itself". The rest of the word was just covered, hard to believe its an accident when they could have changed it before covering a part of the word.
This cutscene killed me... I've only started playing the game and I know the basics cuz I played honkai, but in honkai there aren't cutscene like these... It made me cry, like fr. I love Liv and the whole Gray Raven, even tho I just started. I really like this game sm😭😭
[5:47] Wow, we actually hear the Gray Raven Commandant (Player Character) talk here and it's a blend of both male and female voices to symbolize him/her as us that is either gender. Gray Raven Commandant, you're still too chad to represent me. XD
@@twitzmixx8374 I mean yeah it's not our voice But atleast it can still be depicted as our voice since it's both Male and Female(lee and lucia) which commandants CAN be both male and Female too
Omg my eyes are sweating.. and the illustration of the Gray Raven Squad’s fist bump, literally my wallpaper on my PC 😭 I love this game 🥺💕 so excited for this new Liv class~
Amazing still kind if new level 47 enjoying every moment of it. I think Kuro should definitely get into the whole anime as I believe if there were shows for this would be awesome to see. The art and combat style of this game is what driven me to keep playing.
@@lynardskynard2895 an anime adaptation is a glorified "ad" and filled with voice acting galore. That makes the lines you want to get voiced in game gets voiced acted + the scenes will br animated. You basically get what you wanted.
That's why I can't drop this frickin game no matter what, even if I always get pity in every banner😥 and even if I know the upcoming patches, still the stories is getting much and much interesting
Can't help but notice the "Lorem Ipsum" universal text placeholder amidst the intense emotions going on. 😂 Anyways, awesome animation and story. Man, once the story started its peak a few chapters ago, it only gets better onwards.
In some way or another, Kuro Games will have no choice but to give us Shikikan as a playable character. Be it as an Omn or an entirely new Category just for Him. I already saw the CN gameplay for him but that's not enough, we gotta make it possible for him to be used in Pain Cage, Warzone and other Events.
I'm really sorry for Liv, she can't even imagine what kind of burden she has taken on her shoulders. despite her youth, she found the strength and courage to take such a desperate step and sacrifice herself.
She has changed a lot, you can see it in her eyes, in her eyes, there is no hope for the future anymore, there is only pain that she feels. She does not see herself in a bright future What makes me even sadder
@@FireBlueZ I’m more interested in how the command allowed this, they should have understood that she is a child and does not understand the seriousness of her decision
@@Commandant_N.Rihter If you're talking about Babylonia, they don't give a sh-. As long humanity win, anything work for them. If anything, I am more angry by Shikikan question to Liv before unlocking her EMP collar that will kill her, asking if she want to live or not. Yes in future if she choose to live, she will suffer because of the side effect, but choosing to die is never a choice either. What's worse is that we need to click the question to live ourselves.
man, so far all the new S-base frame for Gray Raven team comes with suffering. when we got Plume we essentially lost the war, mission failed and the old Lucia died(i know it is a memory) now flashbang liv, she essentially went through a multiple emotional trauma inducing event. i hope our boy Lee isn't suffered as much
Soooooo I’ve only played up until Chapter 13 so far, but I’m wondering from how she looks…does she become an Ascendant? I know Chapter 16 and this next one are CRAZY pivot points in the main story so I’m wondering if that’s the case without spoilers.
Spoiler: No, she does not become an Ascendant. Her new frame functions to absorb and expel Punishing Virus and is the first Omn model to be produced by Babylonia. The rest are massive spoilers.
@@domm.4676 Short answer no, she not become one, but this frame is exist to absorb punishing, imagine it like sponge, the toll is liv life literally, hence she quite forbidden to use it often
@@zetsubowidz2287 that’s what I more or less know as well, so it makes sense without making sense for the time being 😆 I gotta fully catch up and get the tissues ready to cry from what people are saying about this chapter
1:49 i thought of sephiroth immediately. Lul. Anyway! I just started playing yesterday and i only finished chapter 1. I just saw this animation now and i have no idea wtf is going on. I noticed that there arw mutiple versions of liv. Are these vers the same person with different outfits or personality?
