Unless your currency is an official currency in a country, always pay in the local currency. They will always add a mark-up for any currency they accept that's not their own.

The beaches in Dominican are so beautiful, not inferior to those in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines!

You are buying this Coconut in the main tourist destination. If you buy it outside the resorts/Punta Cana, it would cost you 1 to 2 dollars.
