We are so ready to go camping GLAMPING ! Yes, this is an older model rv, but we were able to update it in an affordable (cheap) way that looks luxurious and pretty. We upgraded the bedding, and so much more.

Wow...super inspiring! I came upon this while looking for information/tools on how to calculate fabric yardage for a sitting area hubby is making for my studio. (BTW...I found your instructions on how to measure and sew the cushion covers really clear and easy to follow.) A dream I've had is to find a way to do some "Glamping" of my own; my husband is an avid hiker and, while I like to trail walk, I also want to be able to sew while he's on his extended forays. Had been doing cursory look-sees at RVs but knew our retirement budget wouldn't get us far. I hadn't really clicked onto the notion of a popup tent until I watched your video. It's on now as I hope to spot a deal like the one you found and do my own makeover. Thanks!

@@FarrellFocus Ooooohhhhh Girlllllll! What a notion.... YES ... to be able to do your own get-away retreat - either on your own or with a friend or two. My daughter and I would definitely do a trip like that along with her three dawds. Mentioned the idea of a pop to hubby and he seemed intrigued enough that I think we will give it some serious researched thought. I'll make sure I learn to drive while towing (DWT), too! Love our pop up! Really doubt we will ever go to a hard side. Can be made to be very comfy and nice as shown here and you still get the feeling of outdoors. You can hear the sounds of the forest, cool breezes, rain on the tents. All in all it's very relaxing! Thanks for bringing your spin to a way of camping that is being forgotten about.

I have never particularly turned my nose up on a popup camper and for my needs the 2 beds on each end suites my needs mainly because I will mainly be using a outside kitchen setup so all that between the 2 beds is going to be wasted space we will definitely need storage for clothes and supplies but you've definitely inspired my thinking of something optional than a full on RV or camper

We have loved our little pop up tent trailer. We recently upgraded to a Hybrid. I couldn't imagine giving up the open space feeling of bunk ends. Happy camping!!

Just found your channel and subscribed. You have done an awesome job on your pop-up. I have been watching the Pop-up Princess for some time. We wanted a travel trailer that was small enough for my vehicle to tow but roomy enough for the grandkids. A hard side wasted too much space with the beds and a pop-up was too small for six campers. We settled on a hybrid that has the hard sides but also the beds at each end that fold out. It has one small dinette and a larger u shape dinette that also make beds. We've taken it camping several times and are happy with it. Now I plan to start redoing it. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration.

Ohhhh yes the world of the PUPrincess is just adding to the difficult decision! Haha. I think I’m keeping everything neutral (very farmhouse style). I found some clearance curtains for the cushion material that looks like burlap and will be able to add depth and color with pillows and curtains. I’m so excited to see it all come together!

Wonderful job on the make over. I am slowly doing that with my pop up. So far I replaced the canvas and put another hole thru the fiberglass exterior under the front bunk while packing up. I was fit to be tied when that happened. But yeah, I like whole blank canvas to do whatever I want to make it mine.

Really awesome job it's absolutely beautiful and for good lights when you're camping have you looked into Lucy lights? You leave them in the Sun during the day and at night you blow up and they create quite a bit of light!

Coffee: I too bought an "oldie but a goodie" in pop-up campers and have LOVED it. Definitely do what she said (and what I did): get a good foam mattress. I put mine on top of the provided mattress and under the sheets and I swear it's better than my bed at home! Also, make sure you have a handy broom/dust pan. You will use it a LOT. We put a huge "outdoor" rug under the awning (got it from Home Depot and rolled out to size we wanted) and it really helps w/keeping the dirt out. Make sure you take bug repellent and apply generously. We always take 2 or more folding chairs w/us for outside too. Our fridge doesn't work, but we just do a large cooler w/ice in it, no problems. Last thing - when pulling the fabric to go over the far/outside edge of bed, be CAREFUL. Do not rip it - it can happen. Hope this helps.

@@purselmer5931 🤗Yes thank you!! That is really helpful. I remember always camping every summer as a kid, but never paid attention to all that goes into it on the adult side of things😄 lol. Now that we are close to 40, I finally got my husband to try camping and he loves it! But he really wanted to get a camper, so we got an older pop up to try. Thanks so much for the useful tips! Where did you get your foam topper?

@@coffeewithmysunshine2506 One side of our camper is a king-sized bed and half the bed already had the topper on it. You can go to wal-mart and find one in the craft section of the store. It's cheap, and if under a sheet, can't tell the difference between that and one of the more expensive "shee shee" ones. And you are right: whenever we go camping (and we only go about 25 minutes from the house) it's a whole production for my husband (who plans all the food). We do keep some good outdoor games packed in the pop-up at all times - badminton etc. and it's super fun.

Love the idea of a chandelier! I might have to copy you for that one I bought a 2003 Starcraft and while I can't sew, I discovered fabric glue. I used shower curtains from K-Mart to cover my booth, got new bedding for the beds, and purhased a porta pot and interior AC. I laid a peel and stick floor last year as well. My goals for this year are to paint my cabinets and change the hardware. What type of paint did you use?
