PUPJ 2017,... August 19th,... Lincoln Terrace Park. Don't miss it, come out participate, spectate, and support. The competition will start with a Muscle Up Challenge at 12pm and the Main event will then follow at 1pm. Competitors, please arrive early to sign up and be placed in your divisions.
Pull Up Park Jam, PUPJ 2017 Competitors have 2minutes to compete in all events except Muscle ups which are optional and for 1minute. The criteria for each event is as states:
Muscle ups:
Competitors are to perform strict form reps with a barrier approximately 30" in front of them. Touching the barrier, wildly flairing of the legs, or "chicken wings"(arms swinging over separately) WILL NOT be accepted.
Pull ups: "Chin over the bar"
Competitors perform a dead hang to determine their "lockout" position, then proceed. Only Chin OVER the bar to that determined lockout is accepted. Pulling until chin touches the bar, Shorties, or Kipping DON'T COUNT.
Squats: "Ass to Grass"
Using 12" stools, competitors will squat until their butts touches the "crunch plates" then raise back into a full pelvis thrust. Cracking the plate at the bottom then raising to full pelvic thrust at the top is the only way your rep will count.
SHORTIES or HANDS OFF HEAD are not accepted.
Dips: "Break the 90"
Competitors must drop to a bottom position(less than a 90° bend) then raise up to a lockout at the top for a rep to be counted.
SHORTIES OR KIPPING ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Sit ups: "Hands on Head"
Competitors will lay in position with hands touching head(front or back), then proceed. Only reps where your chest raises no less than 9inches, or elbows touch knees are accepted. Hands off head or Shorties(back not touching ground, chest not close to or elbows touching knees) WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
Push ups: "Crack the Bottle"
After adjustments are made to determine individual lockout positions,
competitors can proceed. Only reps where your back/shoulder touches cord and chest cracks crunch plates are accepted. Shorties (reps not high enough or low enough) WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
NOTES:
Competitors are to arrive and register before the 12pm Muscle up competition. 12:30pm registration cut-off time. Competition begins at 1pm SHARP!
In order for competitors to qualify for trophy wins, a minimum of 4 exercise events have to be completed (You can't just compete in your strong suit).
