She is a retriever. They love water. Mine had a kid pool in the summer. . Brittney is my choice. A bath a week is a lot for a dogs skin. Once a month is good enough.

they are such fun doggos. I had a family retriever and it was so hard for us to not let him in the pool-so once in a while we'd just SOAK him with the hose or take him to a lake lol. Hard to come by in southern arizona but we'd go up to the moutains for some fun. Miss the dude.

@@TheRibottoStudios girl wtf do you expect me to say “i raised my retriever to not like water?” She just doesn’t like it, that’s that. I have pictures of when the breeder placed her in the pool and she left immediately. She’s never liked water and i wish she did because it’s a great source of exercise.

I see you two and really do believe you were meant to be in each others lives. I love the name Lucy for her. I think it's really fitting for this cutie pup! She is such a good girl. I definitely need to get one of those peanut butter suction cup things for my pup. I also wont do my dogs nails myself, I am too worried about accidentally hurting her. Great video! I wish you were keeping her :( I wish I could do my high school/early 20s over with the confidence i have now at 32. I was so insecure and held myself back from many opportunities because of it.

As sweet as you two are together and as much as I love her, I do think your decision to give her up is a mature one. You have two beautiful dogs and coparent two more, and even though she has adjusted very well to you, that doesn’t mean she won’t fit in just as well with another owner.

You don't need to worry about her not liking water or not being a swimmer-she's a retriever. They're water dogs. Bred specifically to bring back water fowl for the hunter.

Just because she's a retriever doesn't mean anything some dogs just don't like water. My dog doesn't like water he is a retriever. You have to get them used to it.

My golden retriever is almost eight years old, she used to despised water vigurously. Hated even if her paws were wet. Then last summer I took her to a dog-friendly lake, and half an hour later she swimmed like a beast, like she always knew how to do it. So I agree with you, it's in their genetics. You just have to wait until the "click" in their brain and the fear is gone.

I would go bak to my childhood and rebel more.. I feel like i really missed out being so scared all the time and having ppl walk all over me cuz i was being too safe and hated getting into any kind of conflict. Hi Fenir a tad late comment here. Anyhoo I just want you to know how amazing you are for speaking up about your fears and insecurities. I know exactly how you feel. I have anxiety and depression and never spoke up for myself and was walked all over by people as well. Don't feel bad it is not easy. You want to speak up but you just can't. It's not your fault.
