It’s such a bittersweet moment when the caretakers say goodbye to their animal in the sanctuary.

Champagne is a gorgeous horse. I hate she had to suffer so much. So glad she got the love and care she needed and now has a forever home.

She made an excellent point about horses and pain. Even once the pain is gone, they remember it and fear it. It can take a long time for that fear to go away. They're such sensitive animals. I loved seeing the change in her and seeing her get off the trailer confident and happy. It looks like she found the perfect home🤗 Thank you for helping her to get well, both physically and mentally. You truly are angels here on earth💖

In the mid 80s bought an abused mare. Took year's to get her to enjoy people again. 5 year's to untrain and train her and she became a 4 time state champion, 5 time honor roll horse. She also threw great foals.

People who hurt animals should be thrown off planet earth. Ugh! So glad this horse was rescued.

Champagne finally found a family who really likes and loves her. Remy helped to open up Champagne's shell so she could be herself again. No more mistreatments from people ever again

These stories are so powerful because they show how much animals feel and how their emotions work...Just like ours!!

Some people have no conscience to do this to beautiful animals. So thankful the right people took her in and cared for her.

These videos are a very important and necessary part of my self-care routine. When reality gets me down I can always turn to The Dodo to restore my faith in humanity and hope for the future.

The horse rescues always break my heart more than the others. They are probably the most sensitive animals around. I remember how the horses I used to ride would look at me, they tell you their life story through their eyes.

Animals truly are incredible and dogs really are special they are so in tune with emotions it will never stop amaizing me how they can tell when either a fellow animal or human is upset or sick so there behaviour changes when they are around either that animal or human like imsaod animals truly are incredible which is why it really upsets me when they get abused I hope that champagne has a long happy pain free life

Horses are such an amazingly social animal. Super-duper intelligent. And a barometer for their senses and those are it.

Well done guys - as a child my dream was to have a white horse. Never managed it, mum wouldn't let me keep one (in the garden) 40ft by 15ft. lol What ? 😂. Kids dream.

That horse is now a happy camper. Thank-you for helping that horse.

This is a wonderful era for rescue and sanctuary homes for animals and parrots, and I'm so very happy and grateful. I would like very much to be a home for parrots, because there is such a need.

That's an awesome story. Horses are so intelligent & they of course have feelings too. God holds them in esteem as well because the saints come back with the Lord on white horses after the tribulation. I'm so happy for Champagne. What a fine name given to a fine horse. My mom had a horse that only let her ride her. As I was growing up she let me ride her too likely not seeing me as a threat & as I never made it to 5 foot tall, she even let me ride as an adult so she probably thought of me as a kid still. Horses are amazing animals.

I love dogs and cats! They are so cute and they bring happiness into our lives! I just want to cuddle with them all! ❤

I had a nervous thoroughbred and a German shepherd. We had a jolly ball, a big tough ball with a big handle on it. Sneakers would throw the ball and my dog Gracie would fetch it and the two would play fetch for hours. It calmed the horse down and they would get such companionship from one another. It’s so special to see two different animals play and bond! Likewise I had two kittens I adopted and they would sleep in the crook of her legs in her stall and they would climb the fence and hop on her back to nap on her back in the sun. The herd would move around the paddock and there was Hope, standing still as long as those precious kittens were asleep on her back! We also used to take their blankets off when we went to ride in the winter. Canada being very cold, the barn cats would rush to the blankets and we would make a pile and they would sleep in the residual heat of the blankets from the horses in one big pile ❤️

She loaded on the trailer SO easily for a horse that has been abused! So glad she has a family to love her.

Breaks my heart to think of all the horses who are at the mercy of their owners…that they never know what might await them when that trailer door opens. They just want to feel safe, but instead they are broken by hateful monsters. Thank God for ppl who rescue them

I hate when people mistreat animals and am so thankful for animal angels like this woman.

My greatest hope for horses is that with all the information on the internet made readily available, people can and will be willing to learn how to properly care for horses and understand that they have feelings. Each horse has an individual personality, just like humans. There are better ways to go about treating horses. I also hope that the abusers and those guilty of neglecting horses will be outed, held accountable, and made to pay for their crimes towards these beautiful, gentle, majestic creatures.

How pure and sweet was this friendship between horse and puppy?! I've always known that I would be rubbish at fostering animals as I would never be able to let them go! I have so much respect and love for those that do because so many animals are saved and healed by these selfless humans. I remember watching one story of a foster home where the person said that they are always sad to say goodbye but they know that the animal is going to an amazing forever home and also if they had kept the animal, then there would be one less animal that could be rescued and saved 💗💗💗

I'm an older lady that was born and raised in the city but I've always loved horses to me they are the most beautiful animals that got ever created and thank you so much for saving this beautiful horse God bless you🥰🐎💗😇

A Wonderful Story. How anyone can harm gentle animals is beyond me. You have to hate yourself before you can inflict pain on a defenseless animal.

It’s the best feeling in the world when an animal feels trust with you- all of my animals have been rescue dogs and quite a few of them were severely abused. One had severe seizures and was scared of everything but no matter how many times I adopted, I cried when they first leaned into me to sleep or cuddle because I knew they now felt safe with me. I’ll continue to adopt rescue dogs and hopefully other animals too.
