This was really helpful! I’m on the search for a Cavalier rn! They are seriously such lovely dogs😍 UPDATE: I got my cavalier puppy (have had him for 3 weeks) and he’s such as sweetheart and such a smart boy🥰❤️
My cavalier is 9 years old and is such a pleasure to have She is 9 years and now is diabetic. I have to give her a shot twice a day. I feel so bad she doesn’t realize why I’m hurting her .
I lost my little girl on new years day. She was 10 years old. She had a heart condition... hardest part of owning a dog is making the call so they don't suffer.... such a beautiful breed I would recommend all day everyday. Strange how this has popped up in my recommendations... feel like its a sign. Subbed!.
Hello~ I recently got a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel! I'm only ten, and he's twelve weeks. I'm not that experienced with puppies. I'm potty training him, crate training him, and teaching him not to bite. The first two are going good, not so much the last haha. But thanks for this video! I'm sure both me and Racer(The dog) will enjoy this video :) Bye~
That is awesome! Its amazing that you're getting the hang with training so young! I can make a video on how to stop puppy bites but he may also be teething and needs a chew toy. Keep up the good work :)
Great video! Initial commands with pups takes patience and practice. Sit and down took our girl about three weeks for her to get each. We did short practice session (like 5-15 min each) with high value treats. With initial flubs, no treat, only after tries and physically putting them in the position. They’ll get it eventually!
Thank you for the helpful video! I'll be picking up my puppy next month and I really want to make sure she's set up with good habits. I've been researching dog care and training for about a year so it's exciting to finally be able to use all of this info at last.
Hi l like ur dog and l want to buy a female ,and how much did it cost . I live in Montreal Quebec Canada 🍁 thank you so much Dina. You are a great teacher please keep me posted 🦋🇨🇦🌹🌹🌹👍👍😀😀🤞👍♥️♥️
Hi. New here. 😃 Quick question. Why not praise and say, 'good boy!' Or 'good dog' whenever they obey? Saying things like 'good leave it!' Or 'good sit!' Sounds kind of awkward to hear 'good leave it' or 'good break' Is there a reason? Love your channel! 🤗
I’m here because I just got a Cavalier puppy and yes she already anticipating treats after she goes potty outside haha .. I just gave her praise instead recently just, so she knows she still a good girl 🥰 Side note: the *AHT* for sternness is so funny yet accurate 😅
I'm so happy I found your channel! I have a 6 m/o Ruby cavalier and I've struggle to find the right food for her. She too, suffers from the loose stools. We are good on Nulo now, but will add Acana to my list! Thank you!
Thank you this was very helpful!! I want to know how much does it cost to adopt a cavalier king charles because I was planning to buy one as they are my favorite breed ❤️
So cute!! Defiantly check out my "FAQ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel" video where I talk about the different price points and difference between breeder and rescue :)
Heyy thanks for this video. I also have a cavalier and she is 9 weeks old. What do you recommend for play biting. She bites wayy too much and I don’t know what to do.. what are some techniques you recommend?
Hmmm. She may have been taken from her mother too soon. If she is aggressive with play then she needs to learn how to play. When she becomes aggressive immediately STOP the play. SHe need to learn its not acceptable. Firm no and stop playing when she acts aggressive. When she plays well...treats and praise her. When she bites a firm loud NO! And stop playing with her until she settles down. Also it may not be aggression just mean play...so it needs to be stopped now. Gentleness is a hallmark of the breed
Thank you for your videos! They are such a pleasure to watch. I really like the way you interact with your little guy. You’re so patient and caring and such a good pawrent. Steamed carrots are a great idea...healthy treat. Slater is such a sweetheart. I love you both! 💗 P.S. He cracked me up squeaking his toy in the background as you were talking.
Hahaha. Smartie my little boy weed on every bit of the carpet. Seemed to look for a bit not weed on to have another go. We booked the Rug Doctor so many times. Rosie was so good though.
Hi there! I see that you baby has turned two! How is he doing? We just got a little girl. She is 5 months old. We love her so much. We also have a one year old American Cocker. They are best buddies!
Thank you for this video. This was very informative and I feel it will help me with my Cavalier when I get her later this year (she'll be born in late August). Do you have any potty training videos?
I’m happy to hear that! I don’t any videos on potty training but I highly recommend checking out Chaskat35’s channel because he has some very helpful videos on Cavaliers and Training!
Hey! I highly recommend crate training for them to be house broken. Also to let them out every two hours. There’s a lot of really good videos on it on RU-vid :)
We are getting a Cavalier in December this year and I was wondering whether there are any websites and videos that could help? We need to make sure she/he's trained and good around my younger brother. (8)
I named him after Kelly Slater, who’s my favorite surfer. I really wanted to name him something that had to do with surfing. When my bf came up with Slater it just totally fit :)
Ours as a puppy and now even lol, was so food origtated that we didn't need a pen, as long as we had some treats he's like I'd do whatever you want me too! However when we didn't have treats he gave us this look, like why should I do anything if you aren't going to feed me?? XD His my profile pic, he turned 11 recently :) Funny story, he actually found his christmas present lol, he ran away with this chew and me and my family were like, I mean, it is yours but its not yours yet, give it here! XD
@@SydneyFrancia Just come across your video again, I forgot I'd seen this video and was watching it thinking this seems familiar. Though I do have some tragic news, unfortunately our dog passed away in January, his name was Albee, he was very brave, he wagged his tail at us in greeting in the morning despite not wanting to get up or eat and we knew something was wrong with him and took him too the vets, we didn't realise at the time he wouldn't be coming back home. He liked the vets unlike other dogs so he actually wagged his tail at them when he saw them. He had a heart problem and was too old to operate on so we have to put him to sleep. He wasn't really aware when we said goodbye to him, I'm not sure if it was his illness or what the vets had given him, I didn't ask so I suppose I should feel grateful he wasn't aware though I do wish we could have said a proper goodbye to him when he was aware so we'd know he knew we were with him until the end, I only suppose I could hope he could smell us but I guess I'll never know if he knew we were with him in his last moments. The house was just too empty without him though so now we have another cavalier named Merlin and his making us all feel better, though I did forget what is was like to have a puppy, ha. We like to say his brothers in the sky watching over him.
