Beautiful...I've always had cavaliers such a kind breed..can't wait for warmer weather here in Britain...it's like a miserable autumn day...love the paddling pool ❤
Why is my cavalier so aggressive? I can't take him to a groomer. He's mean and vicious to the groomer. He's matted and he stinks. Nobody will groom him. I cant.
Thank you for lessons you have learned from training your pup. Some day I will get one too I will try to use the information you gave us some day to have a companion , to train to love and maybe he or she might back talk too some day I will get a cavalier king Charles pup
High protein diets do not negatively affect cavas. A lot of cavas do really well on a raw diet which is very high protein. If your cava is allergic to chicken, there are tons of other proteins to try
What do you feed slater now? Is he still on acana? My puppy is 6 months old now and on royal canin for ckcs and I give three times a week nu vet plus. I want him to have everything to continue a healthy life.. shiny coat and of course nice stools lol
Don’t throw out the end of the yak chews! Soak them in warm water for 5 min, then microwave for ~a min. It will turn into a puffed up crunchy chew, like popcorn!
I love that you talked about backyard vs reputable breeders! Also, if you feed raw food, you don’t have to worry about brushing teeth because there won’t be any carbs that cause plaque buildup. BUT, if you feed kibble, you can feed them raw or air dried chicken/duck feet or necks to help scrape plaque off their teeth.
Open farm has some great kibble options! Acana, Orijen and Purina don’t have the best ingredients at all, and they’re all cooked multiple times at a really high temp which kills a lot of the nutrients. You could look into freeze dried raw too, or gently cooked food. Sundays food for dogs has great ingredients too!
Yeah I think this will all not matter when he isn’t around anymore. You will miss those innocent eyes and face. You are taking the dog for granted and you will see how profoundly sad it is when he is no longer with you. I just lost my Caviler after 11.5 years and all those little things I miss that annoy you now
I’ve just got my ckcs puppy Louie and I’ve loved watching your vids. I’m in the UK 😊 awful that people shaming you for crate training. I’ve crate trained all my dogs. Used correctly it makes puppy feel safe and secure and means they have their own space. It’s only if it’s abused that’s it’s wrong. You are doing it the right way so ignore the haters 😊
you are awesome.... you got me at the "I know some people might not agree with this" regarding the paws cut.. I am more practical too, not so much about the look... you are a champ... our doesn't look so polished like yours, but I am trying...
I’m here because I just got a Cavalier puppy and yes she already anticipating treats after she goes potty outside haha .. I just gave her praise instead recently just, so she knows she still a good girl 🥰 Side note: the *AHT* for sternness is so funny yet accurate 😅
For curiosity what inquiries did you make before booking? My old-school advice: E-mail a large array of surf camps you are interested in. Outline your surfing history. Make sure to ask about levels, use of equipment outside of lesson hours, price if one has own wetsuit, and what extra help is available if one is struggling on a lesson and wants individual practice as extra help. If the camp doesn't respond, reject. If the camp responds with an automated robo-form e-mail, reject. If the camp just responds with "Book Now!", reject. Because of this, I actually got responses from some that they catered more towards people wanting a partying vacation than actually learning surfing; at least, it's a respectable honest answer that I obtained without spending any money.
Maybe that school is trying to offer "Instagram Lessons" more than actually trying to teach surfing. I tried private lessons on the Baltic Sea in the north of Poland, and I was taught how to check wave forecasts, paddle the board and catch waves, and ride the board to the shore in a kneeling position, long before trying to stand on the board. Also, lessons in Poland would always run to an agreed schedule once committed, regardless of weather or wave conditions, and a discount could be negotiated if there was a delay. A thunderstorm would result in an automatic refund.
I've been sending a lot of e-mail enquiries, a sort of reverse interviewing surf schools, and the lack of a standardised level system is also confusing for me. I saw proposals (some from the ISA) for a 7 to 12 level incremental system, with the first being for those who had never seen a board, second for cathcing waves, third for standing on the board, fourth for turn maneuvers, and so on. In comparison, a standardised 4-level system for kiteboarding has been implemented (at least in Poland) with assessment exams required to pass each level, and windsurfing usually follows one of a few standardised systems depending on location in the world.
Throwing up after a meal comes from eating too fast. If you use his dry kibble food as treats through out the entire day, he will only get a littlebit at a time and be less likely to throw it up. And you will have his full attention as you are the food suorce. Or you could take him for a good walk before his meal so he will take a nap after eating. Theres also different balls or puzzles that make the dog eat more slowly as they have to use their brain and nose to get the food out. Which can be nice to use if you need to keep the dog occupied for a while.
9 y/o Piper is the love of our lives! Not a barker, yawns at squirrels, (we have so many around), is now deaf but understands hand signals. She’s a chunky monkey a real foody! Loves her crate and begs to go to bed around 9. She snores loud 😮! And last she is our shadow. Whenever we leave a room she’s on our heels. She’s the BEST‼️😝
