Pure Air 3 e-Scooter - Product Walkthrough 

Just a quick question? What's the game plan if & when the uk government do legalise the use of e scooters but with certain rules & regulations ie a capped speed limit & a motor no larger than 350 watts? Will you recall all previous models not meeting these standards & offer these customers a refund? Or will the 1000s of e scooters you sold be totally pointless.....& another point I'd love 2 make is how would you still be able to consider your e scooter the best on market if this is the case?

Hi @RaVe JB - it's a good question, thanks for asking. We've spent countless hours working in consultation with the Department for Transport, and along with the extensive legislation in place in Europe, we have designed our products around a consistent and widely adopted set of regulations. If the UK were to regulate around a specific max speed or motor power output, we can easily adjust the settings if required via software updates (in the same way we are using existing software updates to improve our scooter performance - like how Tesla updates its car's continually). Our products are also designed with a significant range of safety features, such as indicators and our patented anti-speed wobble steering technology as standard. Many other brands lack the consideration to add features like this, or even to make them IP65 Rainproof (like ours). That's why Pure has made an incredible value for money product.

Motor size is the major concern for the law it's definitely going 2 be 500 watts you'd be faster walking up hills 😂😂

In Bristol I see a lot of pure scooters and I don’t see them getting stopped. However I did catch a copper asking some guy why he was doing 40 mph on a dirt scooter bike. I have a feeling that there won’t be much legislation for those ultra high performance scooters. But Pure scooters? Should 100% be legal

I’m on my second Pure Air3 pro since returning my last one and I’m just wondering if the brakes on your scooter were making a screeching noise? I experience this on both of mine and had to return my previous one because of how bad it got. My current one makes the sound but a bit less quieter, is this normal?

FYI, for ROAD BIKE LANE USE ONLY (bikes go faster than most scooters anyway) but yeah, legal, safe use on the road not on pavements, & ability to get insurance like a car would be amazing, even if we had to pay a little road tax.

The pure advance + is the best on the market .I have one and the pure air pro 2nd gen this scooter advertised Is just a upgrade from the 2nd gen and all they have upgraded is the indicators and the steering and the tubeless tires.... Always go for the scooter that does the 31 mile range 500w 710w peak normally kicks in up the Hills the 710w When the legislation comes in ,In the uk all these fast scooters will be pointless because they will be illegal Uk will follow the likes of france & belguims legisation which will be the same in all european countrys ...i've done my research for what the legislation would look like if it ever passes parliment 15.5mps speed limit indicators brake light on the back

Me too. I'm hoping they bring folding handlebars to the Pure Air 4. Folding handlebars are important for safer storage in tight space city living.

@@chukidee6634 yeh at moment it’s like they are saying pay us more for the privilege! They don’t want you buying air over advance or it will effect advance sales I reckon 🤔 though just put the folding bars on the air and give the advance the better peak power maybe, I still think the new Segway G2 max and xiaomi ultra have the right idea with near 1000 watt peak power

@@e-scooterguy I think eventually most e-scooter brands put there will incorporate folding handlebars into future releases. The market will demand it in a consumer monkey see, monkey do type way. Folding handlebars are space saving for tight city dweller living (especially flats in London). I also think Pure will incorporate folding handlebars into future Air Pro models, once sufficient time has passed for them to shift enough Pure Advance's.

i got a thumb tack in mine.i plugged it,simple as these are tubeless tyres.

He didn’t, he claimed it was the strongest AT THAT PRICE POINT. 710W is plenty of power for a scooter of this class with this size of wheels.

Yeah at this price point. Although there's the Ninebot Max G2 which is more powerful that I'd consider to be in the same class. It is marginally more expensive and shares a very similar spec sheet. They differ in a few ways. The G2 has a 1000W peak motor, front and back suspension, taller handle bars, 20km more max range, a ~10kg heavier weight and an anti skid traction control system. The Pure Air Pro is lighter, a little cheaper and has the steering control system to stabilise the bar as he mentioned in the video and I believe it also adjusts the wheel torque based on steering angle for a more composed ride. Otherwise they share the same features and are roughly the same size with both having wide handlebars and a large footplate.

It depends so heavily on conditions. Most figures assume something like a 70kg rider travelling on a flat smooth surface in the lowest speed mode at 25c. Battery life is reduced massively by cold weather, rider weight, start and stop acceleration, inclines on your journey, and the speed/power mode your scooter is in.

Follow the psi recommendation on the tyre. That's always been the case, it's not so much as the rim would crack or brake but it's how much psi the tyre can take in before blowing out from the wheel.

@@Dr-Shite-Kicker hmm why would Pure put 37 on the tag then. Seems strange. I do follow psi max on bikes. Just wondered why Pure would say it should be lower

​@Tony-jw6oy it's probably because the figure has to be nominal by nature since the weight of the rider varies, traction in different riding conditions e.g. wet vs dry, and the outside temperature. Air pressure is lower in the winter since the air contracts in the cold and vice-versa in the summer. You could have a drop of around 5psi in 5c weather relative to 25c weather. Heavier people will need slightly higher pressures relative to lighter people, and slightly softer tires with lower pressure can conform better to the terrain in wet or slippery surfaces. Overall it's a happy and safe medium and so long as you stay within the specification of the tire, it's best to experiment yourself to find what pressure works for you.

Clearly not waterproof then 🤔

My problem was errors and lights turning off and so tipped mine on one side and deck was full of water (getting replacement ) bad seal on bottom at the back.@@user-xb9bm1tk6v

Only our latest range of e-scooters, the Pure Advance or Advance Flex, have our signature folding handlebar design.

No & tbh don't think the uk will make them legal

Hi Peter, the Pure Air 3 series of scooters have a range up to 50km depending on the model bought. But with improved tyres, and a more powerful and efficient motor, they outperform our older 2nd generation of Air e-scooters.

It's a 710W peak motor on the Pure Air3 Pro

@@RaVeJB peak at 550 same speed as 2nd gen 15.5 mph more for hills so don't lose speed don't go any faster than 2ng gen capped at that speed

If your looking for something faster in the same price range the techtron ultra 5000 2nd gen is were its at

Hi @Alex xyz - our Air 3 has a peak of 550W but our Air3 Pro and Pro+ has a peak of 710W, utilising our most powerful motor to date.
