I love my put air 3000- It has made such a huge difference in my home I am wondering what the white crystals type substance is that is collected on the little plastic plate with the wires is that just purified bacteria
Yes -- it always makes a difference -- glad you are pleased with its results. I suspect what you are seeing on the plate is simply a crystallization due to some moisture and, possibly, from the PCO cell. I would not say that it is purified bacteria.
Hi John -- thanks for your question. The answer is "yes". Ozone is a naturally occurring constituent of fresh, clean healthy air -- it is one of Nature's best weapons for combatting organic contaminants. This unit produces tiny, trace amounts of ozone -- reproducing what would be present in a fresh, clean outdoor environment (think "Swiss Alps", etc.). If the unit is used in very small indoor spaces (i.e., a 10ft x 12ft bedroom) or someone prefers not to have the ozone function active the ozone can be switched off. We sold one of these units recently to a long-time customer who subsequently came into our store several days ago for an unrelated need and I asked him how he liked his PureAir 3000. His answer was, "I love it -- I wish I had owned it years ago!"
I've not seen that in any instructions. My overall "take" on any questions of pollutants in respect to Pure Air or similar products is that the indoor air environment is, as a general statement, so substantially polluted that even if operating a Pure Air 3000 or 1500 contributed some miniscule additional pollutant (which to my knowledge in selling these products for almost 30 years, they do not), in the overall scheme of indoor pollutants it would be essentially meaningless.
Hi - all of the above. Ozone kills mold when it contacts it. If the air currents are capable of moving behind a wall, the ozone can be carried to the mold in that area.
@Nomad Wizard You're right -- I should promote them more (used to promote them a lot more). We carry enough different product lines that my plate tends to be pretty full. Thanks again!
Hi -- I believe we have two remaining in stock. You can order off of our website (www.etpetersen.com); or, call us tomorrow (Saturday 11th) at 908-232-5723 9:00 - 5:30 EST to confirm and order. The manufacturer is out of stock until mid-May.
This air purifier does NOT work if you have allergies for pets. I know this from experience. I have had one of these for a couple of years now and I have still had to spend hundreds of dollars on inhalers so I can breathe normally. I was just on vacation and could breathe totally fine, but when I got back home, my asthma flared up pretty quickly. I clean that thing every month too, as instructed. The ozone being emitted definitely doesn’t help either. It can actually do more damage to your respiratory system over time. Because of this, the sale of the item was banned in certain states, like California. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this “purifier.” Get a real air purifier with a HEPA filter instead. Keep in mind that the guy in this video is a salesman for this product. Of course everything he’s saying will sound good in theory, but in practice, it’s not actually doing what’s advertised. There is no way a machine can replicate the fresh air that you get from the earth’s atmosphere
I appreciate you took the time to watch our video (I'm supposing you watched all of it); however, while I don't know your individual circumstances, your comments don't align with our many pet customers' satisfaction with this unit in their circumstances. Your comments, also, do not agree with the simple laws of physics upon which laws these units are engineered.
