I did this with Druid in Beta using Maul's high damage effectiveness and a Gambler's Fallacy to also make it a crit build. With new stuff added in 1.0 I think you could make it a Physical Maul build that uses Bleed and the unique gloves that let bleed scale with crit multiplier instead. It's possible to get incredible attack speed in Werebear using various buffs/procs. However, that's also probably the least complex/interesting Druid build. The most interesting ones involve Dual Form setups where you directly shift back and forth between two synergized forms. The one I went with in Beta was Bear/Swarm using only Physical/DOT damage sources. It had a bit of a rotation that gave it a ramp up, but once you got Swarm going and shifted back into Bear you could Rampage through the map and Swarm would pretty much 1-Tick everything as you noclipped through them with Rampage. Next Cycle I may try the Poison Swarmblade Variant with Scorpion Companion.
