Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race 2023 - PSMCDR at Mid-Michigan Motorplex!

The Pure Stock Drags is a race for stock muscle cars held every September at Mid-Michigan Motorplex. What distinguishes this race is that drivers may make only limited modifications to their cars, ensuring the Detroit muscle remains just like when it rolled off the assembly line. The result is more than one hundred beautiful, high-quality cars-that do more than sit in the garage.
Walk around the pits with Kater and I, check out some time smoke from the Burn-Out Box and A TON of racing! I have a lot of Round 1, and almost all of Round 2.

Thank you for sharing this with us. All the cars I grew up with. I used to live 2 miles from Detroit dragway. I probably had a model of every car there or the slot car version. I feel bad for a lot of younger people who will never get to experience cruising on a Friday or Saturday night back when cars were fully designed and made by Humans and not computers and robots. Great to see a Father spending quality time with his Daughter. She is learning a lot and maybe be a famous future racer. God bless you and your family 🙏

He reminds me of myself. My granddaughter is now 28 but when she was 11, we went to Norwalk Ohio to watch Lucas Oil NHRA drag racing. She loved it.

@drianashton my boy ( only) loved cars. Till my wife got him into ball last fall. And now I'm chopped liver. Lol. But that's OK. As long and he puts Jesus and God above sports I really don't mind too much. Have a blessed day.

when I was in high school(I got out in 65), I saw Cha Cha many many Friday nights headed home from Lebanon Valley drag. None if the knuckleheads I ran with EVER said anything but, how gorgeous and how tonight she beat so and so. She was bad a hell and we all were in awe of her. Adding girls and women, IF THEY ARE INTERESTED, will only keep our sports going longer! Your a good Dad!

Couldn't help but notice the blue 1965 442 convertible, I owned an original 1964 442 (red hardtop) that I'm sorry for trading for a 1968 Firebird, opted to swap the 350 ci. with the running gear from a wrecked 69 Judge RAIII. The car ran 12.80 at Fremont drags in 1976. Great video.. and great dad!

cool to see a T37 there .. i remember stripping one at a junkyard i worked at in the mid 70`s . also stripped a T5 ford .. love to have kept both as they were not hurt a bit .. just gas hogs .

NONE of these cars ran 109mph off the showroom floor, very very few ran over 100mph. To run 109mph means they are making over 100hp more than they came with stock on the showroom floor.
