what about your recommendations for 2024? I think they have had some changes done. I recently stopped AT&T for PureTalk but in researching found out they use the AT&T towers. Now I am considering Cricket since you can't get past the so-called WOKE PureTalk uses to draw people in. Their customer service is deplorable and I am now stuck with having to change my phone number because their transfer porting dept. canceled my AT&T service before I bought a new phone from them. Customer service told me my phone was compatible and the website also stated that but when they transferred me to the porting dept. they said it wasn't. I do not know what to do now. Thank you for your review as it was very helpful to me.
Don’t know where you live at but you must be near a large city otherwise it SUCKS. I used to say the same thing till about eight months ago something happened and now they are the worst and cannot resolve the issue.
@@georgeramon3434 Same here! ...except I live in the middle of a major metro area of 10 million people. See my comment too. Today is yet another day where they are throttling my upload speed below 1 Mbps and I have not even hit the halfway mark on my data limit.
Yeah I’ve had metropcs since about 2013 it’s great it works fine unlimited data but if Ben looking for a cheaper service provider because money is tight
I got boost on one of my lines. no signal in alot of places but i can jump on youtube with no buffing with no bars. kinda weird but still works. i wanna move but having trouble deciding what to do...
4 Lines. 1 at 2GB, 2 at 4GB, 1 at 10GB (I really like the way you customize per individual's phone usage... 1st bill is $62. after that $82.00 total. I think MUCH better than Verizon at $160. JUST got them all activated today (easy). GOODBYE Verizon! What's nice is I can switch to another any month I want to ... so if the experiment does not work ... move! :)
Thanks for all of the reviews, Eddie. Those of us stuck out here in the "Great Digital Desert" with shallow pockets need all of the guidance we can get. Glad you're back in the fray.
I have had PureTalk for a year now, top data plan (the fake "unlimited"), in the middle of a major metro area in USA (about 10 million population). Service has been really bad due to speed throttling before I have reached half my data limit. Upload speeds have often been less than 1 Mbps. Worst on evenings & weekends. Did the whole thing with going thru Tech Support to update/reset network settings several times. Never helped. I plan to leave soon. Cannot deal with this anymore, as I need my phone data for work.
I just switched to PureTalk and so far it’s been a nightmare! It took so long to have my number ported over and updating apn was frustrating. I’m seriously thinking about going back to AT&T.
Some of this review is misleading.....your phone can always be used as a hotspot. iWatch connects to the phone which is connected to the internet. So the iWatch will still work with your phone.
I see what your saying... However, "dedicated" Cellular support (where you don't have your phone around) PureTalk doesn't support this feature but as long as you always have your phone with you, then it will work.
I have been on the 20 dollar for about 10 years always works fine for me data I'm mainly on wifi. I don't go over my allowed data. I think your representative of certain people that probably shouldn't look at puretalk. I'll stick with low costs that work and you pay out the wazoo for yours
Hi Robert, glad this is working for you. I also have an alternative low cost cell phone option for you to check out if you wish at: eb3studioscellphoneprovider.com
Good afternoon..I will like for tou to review the company that offer free phone with EBT from the government like air talk and Q link I will be look forward to see that video thank you...in this time she are living now we can save all we can...
I gave you a thumbs up but I would like to mention that the frequent back & fourth cuts are a little distracting. I think you could have edited it down quite a bit too.
Just get cricket for low budget families , puretalk is capped and it’s really only the service and they sell the cheaper phones the ones people don’t really go for like bland white or black or gray and if you got the extra cash go for att , then you can buy the good phones with no intrest , the ones people acually want like the max and pretty color phones the premium phones with a lot of storage around 2TB
Pure talk is not great. They took us at the beginning of signing up, we tried to get our money back and they said we couldn't. Virtual Voice mail still after over two years with them does not work. Dropped calls, 5g is very slow, maybe more like 3g. We finally left and went back to Verizon. Never again!
Hey Eddie Mint mobile beats puretalk of any available plans out there. I'm only being charge only $20 per month with 10g data. Along with good customer service. Simple 4 plans only and very basic. I'm very super happy with Mint Mobile. Good decision not recommending puretalk. Bravo!
@@EB3Studios Eddie - That's the only drawback that I see with Mint Mobile. I live in Portland Oregon. So in my area it covers it well but if I'm out in the rural area zone it can be spotty at best. At Mint Mobile they have a coverage map will let you see if your area is covered or not. Check it out. Can you believe that for awhile I was only paying $15 per month with 4g data. The miscellaneous fees were really insignificant like under $2 or maybe few cents more on top of that. So just recently now, I'm in the $20 per month due to the fact I needed more data. 10g data is my sweetspot useage. I'm going to subscribe to your channel because you are so blatantly honest. I certainly hope you do an review even though there may be someone do have have Mint Mobile coverage. It's not so much whether you're covered or not. It's for others that may benefit from it. Right!
My bought me a cellphone for US Caller android cellphone to be used with my free gmail number and I don't believe it actually works. I can't even unlock the phone.
@@EB3Studios Went to the us Cellular store and they couldn't get it work either. Ended up buying a AO3 from them and they setup with only a bit of trouble. We returned the Wal-Mat phone for full reimbursement.
How do you get a late free if it’s prepaid no contract? (No snark, genuinely asking because I’m thinking of switching) I would think your service would just cease?
It was great at one time till they started deleting 3G now it’s a nightmare. Customer service is so scripted and they’re putting blame on my brand new Apple SE phone.
I was a BIG fan of 3G just because of how FAR the signal could travel compared to 4G LTE and 5G. Sad to see it go in all honesty. And I agree that more and more companies out there don't have the technical knowledge (I am finding this myself).
I was on hold for 4 hours just to get cut off 3 more hours to find out my phone will not work on the new system. Even though on there site it said it will work. Worst customer service I have had.
I was happy with PureTalk until 4 days ago...when they shut down both mine and my wife's phones. We are parents of five children. Having no phone is bad. I have a Samsung Note 9 which still works on other carriers (confirmed at a local phone repair shop) but PureTalk has not responded to emails sent to them to find out why. My Note 9 is 4g capable so it can't be blamed on the 3g shutdown, and it's also why they won't give me a discount on a new phone. Speaking of discount...what they show as "Your price" is not your price. It's simply discounts available. Talk about "bait and switch".
I appreciate you sharing your experience with the community here, that is a shame indeed. If you are looking for an alternative carrier, I would recommend you check out my top 2022 choices which may be helpful for you here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yjWNOfPy5js.html
I had PureTalk for over a year. I bought the two phones at $500 a piece X2. I did not buy the insurance because I have never experienced a problem. Both Samsung phones' batteries expanded and broke the phones. When I tried to get their non-customer service to do ANYTHING about it, they declined. So, here we were with a service and no phones to use that service. So, when I got their liberal competitor, Consumer Cellular, PureTalk was completely incompetent in switching the service. It took several weeks to finally get through to intelligent life and all the while paying for their horrible service. I am a conservative and I HATE to see conservative commentators advertise this crap PureTalk service!
@@EB3Studios Although it is the liberal answer to Pure Talk, I went with Consumer Cellular. Their customer service has been terrific. Even better, they are competent.
PureTalk is the worst mobile service I’ve come across I’ve already paid them a month and still have no service try to get a hold of them and you’ll be sitting at a phone for half a day before somebody even answers
