Recommendation for PureTalk. It would be great to know when to swap out the SIM from the old carrier to the newly received one from PureTalk. The initiation of porting the number states that it can take 1 to 72 hours, so do you wait until the phone stops working with the old carrier before installing the PureTalk SIM? I will know the answer soon, so not looking for the answer, but that is the question i had during the transferring process. This is a recommendation for the literature that comes with the new SIM as well the videos you have on RU-vid.

Hello, @ronehall! Once the port request is initiated, it is typically completed within 1 and 72 business hours. During this time, you will keep your current carrier’s SIM card in your device. After your phone number has successfully been transferred to PureTalk, we will email you to notify you may swap the SIM cards. You will power your device off at that time and place your SIM inside. Finally, you will power your device on, and your services will be active! -Chandelle H.

i upgraded my iphone 12 to a 13,,both puretalk,,,i used itunes,,,but not all the apps went to new phone

Hi, Daryll! If your previous phone was backed up to your iCloud account, you may restore the apps by following the steps at support.apple.com/en-us/118105. - Ayanna M.

We were sent a new phone, with a new Sim. This video, AND THE LITERATURE SENT WITH THE NEW PHONE AND SIM doesnt clarify why i even got a a new sim if im just going to transfer the old phone's sim to the new phone from pure talk.

Hi, Clay! Devices purchased through PureTalk will include a replacement SIM card. You may continue to use your current SIM card in the new device. If your current SIM doesn't fit in the new device, you may call Customer Service at 877-820-7873 to activate the replacement.
