which one will you recommend for classical guitars?

The LCT 540 S provides amazing clarity for classical guitars. LCT 640 TS is similar but provides the added flexibility of multiple polar patterns.

Our most affordable options would be either LCT 240 PRO, LCT 040 MATCH, LCT 140 AIR or LCT 440 PURE. I'd highly recommend the LCT 440 PURE since it has a much lower self-noise which is needed for quieter fingerstyle playing.

Strange. Kind of compressed and harsh in treble. Overall very good sound but can't hold it in that particular high-mid, treble range... Sound is squashed and harshy. But maybe not that voice for that mic? Or just it is what it is but I don't like those artifacts at all. Sorry.

Must be a RU-vid thing because I have a 1040 and I can tell you it is like a 67, 47, and 87 all rolled into one.

The audio from this session has been mixed with some compression and a healthy amount of automation due to the huge dynamic range of the singer. We tried to strike a balance to keep the recording honest to the sound of the microphone while also allowing the vocal to sit properly in the mix. Austin did a great job working the mic to avoid clipping, but that did result in some thinning of the tone when he was belting high notes.

@@LEWITT-audio Thanks for reply! Ah! So my monitoring and my ears didn't fault. Well, maybe I was sound a little bit... harsh in my previous post but my ears are really sensitive for all those small details in sound and I catch it immediately. All in all as I said the sound is clear and great but those artifacts... I'm really curious how it would be sound without that treatments. Thank you!

Sounds like preamp is breaking up in analog domain to me…. It sounds beautiful when his volume is low and I’m sure he’s not overloading the mic itself…
