What is your opinion on the idea that all Christian films and shows, having to be family friendly? If the entire Bible were to be adapted, cinematically, I don't think it would be a family friendly film or series of films. I guess it would depend on how certain events were depicted from David having Bathsheba's husband killed in order to have her, to Canaanites being destroyed, etc. Even if we think about The Passion of The Christ, it's pretty violent when depicting the crucifixion. Should depictions like The Passion film be toned down and not be as graphic in order to get the point across? Thank you for your review of Beckman, btw! God bless you!
Not only is he an actor, but I believe David AR White started/owns Pureflix. Prior to this, when all these movies were still available on Netflix, I watched every single one. Some of them multiple times... No, they're not "blockbusters" or "box office hits", and most left something to be desired, but most also left me satisfied. I can't think of one I regretted watching because each of them, in their own way, provided value, be that a warm & fuzzy feeling or a gut-wrenching cry (no shame here).
Very thoughtful and funny, I’ve been waiting for this! I’m a very devout Christian and I generally don’t like most Christian movies the best ones is where the messages are subtle if only there’s was a rival to Purefilx!
Thank you for taking your time to review this for us, can you make a list of Christian movies or series that you recommend, I have been searching for them but they are just few
Truthfully I haven't seen too many Christian movies, so I can't recommend much. My parents have been watching The Chosen though and they say it's really good, so maybe you could check it out!
I'm a Christian with a major in film and as long as pure flix does the rip off of other established films but with worse writing, acting, lighting, and sound then the films will never rate high because the productions seem like parodies of what they ripped off. I do really enjoy The Chosen because of its originality of perspective but I don't think that is part of pureflix.
Exactly. It's almost like these remakes are purposefully comedic with how far they fall from the movies they're imitating in terms of production value (which like I said in the video, doesn't lead people to believe that God expects excellence from us). I've heard nothing but good things about The Chosen, but yeah I don't think it's made by Pureflix. Thanks for watching!
At least this Baldwin brother didn't actually kill a cast member on this movie, like his brother Alec... Sorry, that may be a little too dark of humor. I just couldn't resist, lol
#JosiahNordquist I just found your channel tonight & first watched the "why read CS Lewis: mere Christianity" video. I then watched about a half dozen of your other videos and quickly subscribed after I found my way to the "John wick Christian movie review" In which I must say you have a great sense of humor, I was literally in stitches from laughing. Great job ! 🧡 God Bless you ✝️
Thanks for the review! Good stuff. It was not my intention that the crossed-out pictures meant the girls were dead, just that they were sold-off. oh well. :P Make sure to watch our huge Revelation Road series next year. 7 hours of post-apocalyptic adventure.
#JosiahNordquist Great review, I absolutely love your sense of humor, you're an extremely funny guy. You should do more Christian movie reviews. 💜 God bless you and yours 💛
@@JosiahNordquist it's a horror series that is about if satan took God's place, it's really intresting how terrifying it would be if satan ruled instead of God. Though it has language, it makes it more realistic, like in the video above, and it says in the description that it was never meant to be offensive towards Christians. I really wanna see a fellow Christian's take on it, and see how accurate it is, and btw it's on youtube.
