Ebel feels like the author's ideal self insert, that does all these witty comebacks and edgy commentary that he could only think up after the fact.

Glad the spider was there to save the day. Ebel would have still been there discussing his options with himself if it hadn't intervened.

I love how the game baited us to think there is going to be choice to save or leave Emma and then boom, THE GIANT ENEMY SPIDER.

Remember, Oliver sacrifies himself for both Enri and Emma. What a mad lad.

Man, I can't remember the last time I've seen an anime/JRPG protagonist (this counts as a JRPG, right?) backtalk a tsundere/alpha bitch and actually consistently win. And without even having to go through a character development arc. So damn refreshing. Then again, Ebel being a walking bullshit detector probably helps.

Wait a minute. Hellbeast, different tiers of society, secret organizations, and people with powers (Enri's demon powers and Ebel hinting at being an Empath.) This little Rpg series has some imagination to it. I love it.

The whole tsundere exchange brought tears to my eyes, oh my god. This is peak character writing right there. I honestly really like Ebel, he seems like a good guy, I like how he truly just wants to go home and watch anime and perseveres towards that very noble goal

I wish game designers would adjust the movement speed for chase scenes. It's so jarring to have the characters scream "run for your life!" and then you get this ridiculous nonchalant-saunter-off between them and the bloodthirsty killer. "I wanna live, but, like, not enough to break a sweat." "Well, I want to kill you, but not enough to exert myself." "Cool. Mind if I put on some dramatic music?" "Heck yeah!" 😂

This game is frustrating me because of how good an example Emma is as an abusive manipulator and pathological liar. But I also kind of really respect it for that. Watching the endless stream of conversations as Ebel gives a crash course on how she works goes from annoying, to insightful, to kind of funny. I also find it kind of funny how everyone in this game is apparently so shallow and stupid, or controlling and scheming, that actual social awareness is apparently like a superpower to them.

As an ex-emo kid weeb, this feels like being targeted by a heat seeking missile

Ok, jokes aside, this is turning out pretty well. The stupid psychic nature of our monochrome protag is actually kinda nice, since it's both stupid and endearing. Him and Emma play off each other well, and I like where this is leading.

That one convo had enough dialouge to last 12 minutes, that spider sure did take his time

I will say.. that while I am glad we saved Emma from the two dudes, I think it is also fair to leave her ass down there to have a convo with the spider. We interrupted their conversation earlier and I think they need to finish that, considering her attitude ^-^;

I love watching you play games, cause most of the time you show all the endings. It's super nice to see you play picking what options feel right, but also not miss out on the other routes in the end :D

I actually like Ebel and Emma's dynamic so far, with her trying to manipulate him but he just sees throught her bullshit and they just end up insulting each other. And then she just goes absolutely ballistic and says how he's full of shit. I think these types of relashionships can be entertaining when done right, where 2 people who are pretty terrible hate each other's guts and come up with witty remarks. And even though the writing isn't... all that great, these edgy emo dialogues still have some kind of charm to them. Unfortunetely since there're multiple endings which include romance there's 90% chance that they could end up together at least in one of them and it would instantly turn into my most hated trope

its cool but i dont like the overwhelming amount of obvious info being thrown on our faces like when ebel is looking at emma and her group, the amount of info is so unnecessary that it made the scene longer than it should be
