Great tutorial! Most people don't realize that after stripping, the darker grain has absorbed more of the gunk. You really have an eye for color and can really blend nicely. I enjoy watching these pieces transition. Thanks for putting these videos out.

I liked the idea of a light on light ceruse top. The orange tones in the oak definitely washed out the pink in the tea rose, but you can see where the theory would work on a whiter wood. Great job!

In our area of Oregon, the dust is white, nearly, because of the alkali ground. The top looks dusty to me because that is the color of our dust. LOL!! Such a great idea to store the toys. Love it!!

I love purple, gorgeous!!!! I learned today from Reclaim Heirloom to use glad wrap to smooth out decopauge, it prevents the oils from your skin to tear the rice paper, napkin etc. Looking forward to more of your creativity.💕

I like how the decoupage paper turned out. First time seeing water used to fix it in place fist. I’ll need to try that the next time I use the rice decoupage papers. The chest looks beautiful.

This is so beautiful! I have been watching your videos for a few months now I find them so relaxing when life is so stressful. Kind of like a bubble bath... ahh CrysDawna take me away. I am loving all the new content and learning so much! I just wanted to mention that I watch another channel and she uses a lot of decoupage on her pieces (also beautiful!) She waters down some of he paint colours and paints it on the edge of the Paper to hide the edges. Honestly it makes it almost look like it's completely hand painted. Keep doing what you do!

Hi Crys'Dawna I love the colours of this chest makeover! The rice paper is a gorgeous touch! I decoupage using serviettes and instead of cutting around the piece, I used a wet brush to dab where I want it to tear away from the picture. This creates a smoother finish. I thought I would share this technique in case you would like to try it :)

Omg I have a twin bed width Cedar chest and I've been racking my brain for inspiration. I want to refinish it for my niece but I want it to have a timeless look. I got to remove the veneer on top off and then clean it, soft close hinges. I got it for $12. The decoupage rice paper makes the flowers are in a misty field.

the tutorial for the blending is awesome...i do the blending a little bit different but your technique seems faster than mine...so i am going to try it next time.
