Yeah ive learned my lesson hard about using a trellis for beans and peas even if they are "bush beans/peas" . After i get the rest of my purple hulls harvested im going to expand my garden and use a trellis on every row.

Thats why I plant nitrogen loving plants in their spot or companion plant with corn and squash. If you pull the peas up and observe the roots you will see the little nitrogen nodes.
