The Purple Plus is an 11″ specialty hybrid mattress that includes a 2.0″ thick top layer of Purple’s patented gel pad layer. It offers a good option for sleepers looking for the Purple experience, but want a lower price point than other luxury Purple mattresses.
The Purple Plus has noted strengths including cooling, response, and a bit of a floating feel (if you like that). But edge support is lacking and it has higher levels of motion transfer, which may be problematic if you sleep with a partner.
Overall, we found this to be a good mattress, but far from great. Given the price point and the Purple name, I was more than a little disappointed by the performance.

Asking for a friend... 185 lb side sleeper with hip pain, the Purple Plus or the Purple Restore firm? I personally thought the Purple Restore firm felt more like a medium than a typical firm mattress. I have not been able to find a Purple Plus to try out for comparison.

Purple Plus is slightly softer than the Purple Restore Firm, I would go with the Purple Plus if they are dealing with hip pain. Usually those with hip pain need something in the soft, medium, or medium-firm range. Purple Plus is a medium-firm. Purple Restore Firm is slightly firm.

I have had two of these and they start out great, then start calaping within the first 2 years. I had two because the first one was replaced under warranty. Now the other is in the same awful shape. They now have jumping through hoops as the make it super tough to get a warranty replacement.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience Purple. Thanks for sharing it with everyone. Generally, feedback I receive on Purple's warranty process is pretty good. I had one viewer I talked with recently who said she had received 4 different warranty replacement mattresses from Purple (granted...that's not exactly great in terms of quality control on the mattress). What type of hoops are they asking you to jump through?

@NapLabReviews they ask for you to place 5 pound weights or heavy items in the depressions and take pictures and videos to send back to them. It's a pain because the weights don't really show the issue so they continued to ask for more pics till I finally gave up as I became busy. But like you mentioned, after paying so much it should last a lot longer. Pretty much a crater is created and your body gets somewhat sucked into the hole.

@@handyman3320 That sounds very aggravating. For a Purple to be failing at the 2 year mark and then the warranty not being honored is just really shocking. We'll continue to be vigilant to see if this becomes more of a pattern with Purple's quality and customer experience. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

We recently bought a Purple Mattress, and for about a week, it was comfortable but them began to develop soft spots, which is resulting in terrible back pain from spinal misalignment. Company advised there is nothing they can do, as we bought the mattress from a retailer. We paid over $3,000 for the mattress, and it appears that we are stuck with it.

Yikes...I'm very sorry to hear that. If I may ask, what retailer did you purchase from? Did they provide you with any type of trial period or warranty?
