the first time i heard this i was like ''dont ruin the song'', second time i was listened carefully, third time i accepted it, and now im listening it on repeat :P
I dedicate this Anthem (played by guitar giants) as a memorial to him! Great - Great musician! Great artist! It was too early for Price to pass away! R.I.P.
This was where I first heard Andy Timmons. His sections are between 1:37 to 2:11 and 4:27 to 4:58. I have been listening to him ever since:-) In my opinion the best melodic rock player out there.
Well..., if there was any other attempt to record the instrumental version of this tune, I'm glad I've never heard about it. This is it. One of a kind. Playing an instrumental version of something that was recorded so many times, by so many *Greats*, might sound like a *musical/artistic suicide* but, I have to admit it, these dudes came out of it with the "upper hand" and shining. Well..., I guess, I'm being an ignorant here. " Al Pitrelli, George Lynch, Michael Lee Firkins, Reb Beach, Steve Morse, Brad Gillis, John Petrucci, Andy Timmons..." Those names speak for themselves, don't they (?)
one of the finest solo in Rock history, Just letting these guitar virtuoso improvise over it , it's just amazing, and wonderful but it's hard to find where is the improvised part of each guitarist, i guess that petrucci intervene between 5 :36 until 6 :44. but what about andy timmons, steve morse, and the other.
No I mapped it out and sent the various guitarists the backing track and the map. They did NOT get to hear each others parts. They were told to sing it on the guitar.
