Thanks for this WIP and chat, it’s been a welcome distraction from the pain I’m in at the moment. The surgery that was originally due to be done on the 19 December was done today (14/01). Got home from hospital this afternoon just at the right time to watch your channel ❤❤

Glad to hear you had a lovely well deserved time off. I've not long finished doing the 4 Lego sets I got for Christmas, and the 2 I bought myself when I went with my nephew to the Lego store just before New Year, and with all these sets I got 4 freebies too! One of the sets I got was the Orient Express train so I've decided to make my own modular building based on my local train station to go with it. While I'm waiting on some parts arriving, I've started on Over the Mushroom Hill from Diamond Art Studio and will be adding this painting to my wall of 4 other Eszter Anna Vörös' paintings I have. Love her work 😊

I’m glad you took time for yourself and your home is feeling more homey! I LOVE the metal tips and putty from the advent calendar and it’s all I have been using!

Watching this amazing Waffle and working on building my spare diamond storage. I'm hand cutting cardstock and stickers that I made so it's taking a long time. But it's coming together. I store spare diamonds for both my mom and I. I'm using a plastic bin/box that clips shut vs a card box. It's bigger then I need right now but will give us room to grow! Thank you for the inspiration!

Talking of towel clips I had put mine aside as I don't work on an easel or on an angle so was thinking of gifting them to someone, however, today we made a den with my 2 year old grandson in the living room and were struggling to keep the blankets up and it was a light bulb moment! I jumped up saying I've got just the thing! They were perfect and we had fun for a rew hours thanks to the towel clips 😂😂😂 thank you! Xxx

Thank you for the nice long WIP and chat. The colours are beautiful in this one. I'm diamond painting, drinking hot tea and trying to stay warm. The "feels like" temperature is -27 degrees Celsius in southern Ontario, Canada.

Wow a big one, I might have to stop halfway through to make tea. Happy New Year to all. 2024 is starting with challenges for myself and hubby. We want to move again this year and I go onto insulin tomorrow so a few weeks to get that sorted before we set to on seriously looking for a new home. 😺😺

I fully expect for this comment to be added onto as the WIP and waffle continues, so expect edits haha. Anyways, 2024 has been a mix of challenging and good for me. Early in the year, I got a 45 second call from my boss, that I was fired - which I’m not entirely upset about, given the job is incredibly stressful for me, and I am currently a little bit hesitant to work with kids that young again. But, it’s given me the possibility to work on getting my GED (which is the equivalent of an American high school diploma) and attend driving school so that I can learn how to drive and work towards getting into college. Today I’m going to to register ro a service for GED classses and hope to have it done in the next six months. I am working on a Mandeloiran helmet with Yoda on top, a 30 by 40, as a gift for a friend in another state, since I am not a Star Wars fan, but these came in a 10 pack of paintings for $20 a year ago. I am halfway done and expect to get at least a row done in the duration of the video. As for the DAS advent kit, I am about to start day 14. It’s still fairlt mentally challenging, so I’m taking my time. Though, I was watching Diamond and Washi’s 2023 completion video, and saw some of it completed before I processed what I was looking at it… some of it got spoiled, unfortunately.

My hubby DID succeed in giving me his cold…the punk. I am officially RETIRED! Jan. 12 was my last day!! 🎉🎉 I spent my last week of work feeling horrible (was not Covid…I tested) but had too many projects I had to finish to use any of my 96 sick days. I had to use them or lose them…so I lost them. 😢 Oh well…now I have 365 sick days…without pay. 😂 Happy 2024!

I got all caught up on th 5th on January. but I'm using this month to complete my wips that have been in hanging in the corner. new year clear out!

I just got into diamond painting after finding your channel. My son gave me an Amazon gift card for Christmas and I used it to get my first kit. Now I just need to save up to get a decent tray and some storage other than the little pill case like things that can with my painting. Have you ever bumped your tray and sent the drills flying? I just did that a few min ago. Luckily most of them landed on my desk but I have a feeling when my caregiver runs the sweeper tomorrow there will be a lot of rattling from diamonds lol

Glad to hear you had a great Christmas and New Year. Would you show us some of the finished Lego kits you made? Are they actual Lego brand kits you're doing or just Lego type? I've been doing lego type kits lately that have smaller size pieces in them than actual Lego pieces. Love doing them, but frustrating sometimes when my fingers are too big to place certain pieces!

I diamond paint from left to right ( am right handed and start from top with my painting upside down usually before turning the canvas right side up) because I dont like resting mu hand on the diamonds. Have a more interesting quirk with cross stitching, I have noticed that my work always ends upside down for some reason after a while and am reading the chart normally.

Session two of watching this! Back to the Yoda painting. Today I needed to be able to have a good hour of my “Rebecca time”, as the elderly lady we live with (I’ll call her “S”) had gotten scammed, and the scammer had copied her phone and taken control of it. After six hours of work, we came to the conclusion that we needed to fully factory reset her phone, get her a new phone number and email, etc., as location and such was being shared and it put the entire house in danger. It’s definitely been stressful, haha, and I hate that we couldn’t even save her photos without risking any other devices within the household.

Happy new year! Hope your year has started off on the right foot. I am curious, how many diamond paintings do you have in your stash? Your actual stash and not including the stash you use as prizes to people. I am happy you're back after the Christmas and new year break, and as of 14th of January, I am 3/4 through Krabby Patties by diamond art club (103x70 cm square). Started on the 1st so, around two weeks and I've past the halfway mark. Hopefully I'll finish this month. Have a good day!

Regarding the tweezers, maybe u shd give each member of the household their own pr. U have enough different colours for them to choose their own colour & then u cd Dymo label their name on the handle to stop arguments 😁😏😉
