Today I travel to a 295 Pursuit to replace the house battery and check the trim indicators on the Yamaha display. Then it's off to a 385 Pursuit to see why the port Yamaha is running poorly. Thanks for watching.
Since you are the best marine mechanic I want to ask if I can add a third battery to my Grady white 257? Seems like my sound system (3 amps, 8 speakers and 1 subwoofer) is having low voltage problems. What do you recommend on this case? And what type of battery should I add?
I would add a battery switch and one or two 31 series deep cycle batteries. Use the battery/s just for the stereo and then you can isolate them with the battery switch. You can also just add more batteries to the system. It won't hurt anything. Grady White joins there batteries together anyway.
I didn't get to finish diagnosing it but I asked and found out it was one of the cam sprockets. It was stuck in causing it to be out of time. That was a wierd one and thanks for watching.
