A motorcyclist is dead after fleeing from law enforcement and crashing in #Escondido this afternoon.
The chase began in #ValleyCenter at about noon today. Just before 12:20 PM, the motorcyclist was involved in a crash with at least one other vehicle at the intersection of E Washington Avenue & Harding Street in the city of #Escondido. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Nearby streets have been closed as the investigation unfolds. The reason for the pursuit was not immediately clear.
