TheBrawlingBrothers so funny.the horn was missed by me at first .i had to go back and saw he used it a lot.and it's such a pathetic sounding horn too . it's just such fun and interesting music . i love it .i hope they do much more.
bill hicks was censored from letterman's show, in the very spot maynard's standing. for talking about jesus and a handicapped person at the height of "fundamentalist christians ...in the fucking white house". well, few years later, as he was dying. just before he died, censored by letterman. google it >>> "letterman bill hicks mom" ...i like to think that was near the forefront of mjk's mind that night.
Within the first few seconds of hearing a song. You just know, that this is going to be a awesome song. The music and the lyrics just all clicks together. This song right here. Is a prime example of that.
K Z dude I I literally posted the same comment a few weeks ago on a reaction video for Tool. But I added " if so the omnipotent ones who created us would come back and say it's about damn time" lol. But honestly if you got all those guys on one track that one track would be an hour long of EPIC 😲
The guy who usually plays bass (Paul Barker) was playing an acoustic guitar during this performance - and it made for an awesome-sounding experience! (Plus, he was really ripping on an instrument he doesn't usually play! No audible mistakes/ vital errors.)
He’s the best. Maynard is the best. He gets the entire industry in a way not many ever had and has had decades of fun just making fun of em and making music that’s just different or interesting and still being a massive star. Amazing. Shows how much TOOL is loved
Such a versatile frontman... He's even covered Elton John's Rocket Man and did a stupendous job of it. Seen Tool perform at Download and the Birmingham arena. It would be a real treat to see these guys play too😎😎😎😎😎😎
Watching Letterman with my folks was some of my favorite memories growing up. The moment he left was the beginning of the death of cable. I wish I woulda caught this live. I’ve been a Tool fan since 2006, but I didn’t find APC or Puscifer til after I graduated in 2012. Conditions is probably still my favorite album they’ve made, but they’re all amazing honestly. Carina Round is the icing on the cake.
Leave it to Maynard to strip Paul of his everliving dorkyness and do something effing cool....Paul was thinking "What a RELIEF" I have faith that Paul could pull out some really cool shit in collaboration with TOOL...IMHO
Nah, I think it was more about the time frame... If he kept shaking hands and congratulating people for too long it would throw out the rhythm of the outro. I'm sure he shook hands with the bassist after this clip ended.
Tool was Maynard putting everyone in a hypnotic mind melding trance right before A Perfect Circle, where he blows everybody’s mind with his raw intense talent, and then Puscifer is sort of a funny little afterthought.
i am still hoping that someday they will release a remix of this song feat. Paul Schaeffer.. it'll be such a phenomenal mix.. CONDITIONS OF MY PAROLE (Schaeffer Mix)
Mr. Matt McJunkins on bass! The dude is so awesome! Plays in numerous stellar bands and can walk down the street without anyone recognizing him. (save me of course)
Puscifer itself is a collective with a revolving cast of musicians, so it makes sense to ask Paul to play. The band was originally going to be a collaboration with Trent Reznor but he was busy with his other band How to destroy Angels and Atticus Ross.
Totally agree... Maynard James Keenan isn't one dimensional. During the opening of the Conditions tour he says: "We don't know how long we're here, tomorrow could be our last... so might as well "create" with every breath "we" take" .... Very inspiring.
