Share whatever and however you want bro. Honesty and integrity are the top reasons I'm drawn to this channel. I can't speak to anyone but me but I'm sure there are others like the transparency, and good vibes like I am.
Brother, you are visionary! I love what you do. You have found your way and you simply do it perfectly. I for one, as a runner and RU-vidr respect your name and training!!!!! Keep doing you!
You are next level. Having a family, putting in the miles week after week, doing these videos daily, lunching an app. Hardest worker in the game ❤ And I've been running by feel and I improved greatly in my running, I don't need a watch and check my heart rate.
You speak to me and inspire me. I'm that guy that was running 20-25 miles/week, and you've motivated me up to 45 miles/week w/16-mile long runs (aided by your shoe recommendations). I'm getting the benefits you describe so THANKS!
Your content is killing it right now! 🔥🔥🔥 Loving your work over here in England 👌🏼 Your running shoe reviews are second to none and my absolute go to on RU-vid. Keep at it! ♥️
More of this content for sure! It’s really motivating to listen to someone who’s so passionate about running and is super helpful getting me ready for my first race since 2019! 💪🏻
As someone that started watching your videos from March/April of this year, and have since been inspired to up my monthly mileage by 100 miles (August was my highest mileage yet), I am genuinely so grateful for your insight and experience. Keep doing you, Yowana! You have impacted my running in the best of ways. Thank you for all you do! 🙏
What I learned in this social media world, is to never take the comments section that seriously. You do you bro, it's your channel and sometimes these kind of keyboard warriors are just salty cause they don't have a channel of their own. Keep it up bro, and keep vibing man 🔥
Qualified? To express an opinion? Of course you are. And haters have opinions I wish they’d keep to themselves, but they’re entitled to them. Tune ‘em out. Dude, you have a beautiful family!
Great video. I totally agree on running by feel. I've been running for a few years and grateful to be in a position where I know when I need to push or back off. I don't need my watch to tell me. 😊
Bro, do you. That’s the formula. Your steady improvement as a relatively new runner speaks for itself. But keep up those petty vibes - it sure is entertaining as hell. I’m having fun! I broke out a fresh pair of the SL 2’s this morning in recognition of today’s vibes. Nicknamed them “Petty Wap” in my Garmin gear tracker.
F*** the haters/doubters. No matter what you do in this life people will always have an opinion. Keep doing you and stay true to yourself, block out the negativity. Your inspiring so many people and bringing amazing runnining insights/content. Your channel trajectory is a testiment to that.
I misunderstood the vibe in 'MVP Training' and now I know better than before thanks to your kind explanation. Amazing sense of humor with high level stress and fatigue from hard training tells you got sound body and mind. Keep going and I stand with Supwell running.
Love your approach to training. I’ve started training on feel and not following my normal plan and it has been great. I’m having more fun and my body definitely feels better at the end of the week. What you are doing on your channel is great, keep it coming and forget the haters!
Speaking for myself, I chose to follow you. I really dig your videos. I love long form stuff. I love the way you do long form. I am inspired by how much of a BEAST you are. If I didn't want to watch, or thought you were wrong, I'd simply invite myself to simply stop watching. Your training works for you. It's not like you're out there dictating what I should be doing. people need to check themselves. Keep blazing your trail man, and I for 1 will keep enjoying it 💪💪💪💪
PLEASE CONTINUE to SHARE more about your TRAINING Yowana (in addition to reviewing shoes). I have learned so much from you and become a better runner for it! 🙏 for your work, authenticity, vibes and spirit 🤗 🏃♀️ 👟
I totally agree about listening to your body when you have tired legs. You've gotta know when to hold 'em, Know when to fold 'em, Know when to take a walk, And know when to run. :)
I feel like you’re overthinking it, you’re not doing anything wrong. Love the channel, cause you’re transparent, funny, and down to earth. Everyone trains different. Me personally im a new runner of 3 months. On and off throughout the years. Serious this year. One month was 50, another month 100, last month was 130. Im personally a zone 2 runner. 3-4 day slow, 1-2 days fast/tempo run. 1 long run per week. 3-4 miles a day. 10-15 on my long run. From running alot of zone 2, ive learned from you, i do need to run on my feels to to also run these slower days faster and not be so attached to my watch. You’re doing good!
“Back then they didn’t want me, now I’m hot and they all on me” -Mike Jones Thanks for all you do brother. I personally enjoy your long videos. Im new into running, a husband and father of 3. You’ve inspired me so much man. Keep it up! You ya at the top!
Keep crushing man! The mix between discussing your training and shoe reviews (and comparisons) is great! I can’t speak for others, but just keep putting in work!!
You are far, far more helpful at giving me (a hobby jogger) information about these shoes. Sure, I love seeing what true elites think- but they have far different needs than me. Keep on doing what you do.
I totally agree with your take on high volume, slow running. I've been running 100+ miles a week this whole summer. I've seen drastic improvement and every run I get faster and faster. Can't wait to run Wineglass in October!
Just keep being you. Your musings are a big part of the channel. Also, shout out to the 🐐 Ronnie Coleman; always put in the work and had fun doing it. And shout out to the 21's, Duncan and Garnett.
Loved this as a beginner runner! Running my 1st marathon in October and been training for 7 weeks now. Some days running off Vibes most days doing my scheduled runs but... I've been listening to my body everyday I have to train. Would love to see more training content especially training in hilly terrain that you cant escape in NC
Keep talking about training! MVP plan is awesome. Crushing those paces and miles in a lighthearted way is fun to watch. I’m going from half marathon to first full in December, trying to follow the Jack Daniel’s plan and having a hard time hitting the paces in the heat. Would be great to hear if you adjust VDOT/paces throughout the training block or due to season. Thanks
Dude ignore the noise, just keep doing what you’re doing. It definitely works. I too will be at Chicago 2024. Racing shoe of choices down to Gara, Adizero Pro 3, Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3, not a fan of ON. Mach X 2 far too much heel slippage for me.
Just ignore those who disrespect you. You can't please everyone, haters are going to hate. Just keep on creating and sharing content and share your learnings. There are lots of people enjoying and benefiting from what you do.
Keen to hear what your weekly schedule is like. 100+ miles every week + video upload everyday is wild, respect. Must be a massive trade-off outside of running/content creation to sustain this. Unless you're a vampire and don't sleep 😅
Great video bro, keep killing it. Also, not sure if you would be down for some trail running shoe reviews but the on cloudserfer trail shoes look really interesting.
#TeamYowana 👊🏻 giving out real information for free. Put some respect on the channel and name. You guys writing negative comments, I encourage you to talk into a camera for 5 minutes about something you think you can talk about... then put it on the internet for people to watch. Bet you won't. Yeah you all talk, negative vibe RU-vid commentors, cause thats all they do. Yowana stay strong till 80 or 44 lol 😂 💪🏻
I understand and agree with your running vibes for you, but you put in an insane amount of consecutive miles in. For people who are only on their first block or second year of consistent running it is much harder to intune naturally what do, how much and how fast. I know for me I went from couch potato to 1:45 first HM in 10 months. And now a year later I'm on 2nd marathon training block and the first consistent one. I got so much fitter and faster in the last 18 months I would be pretty lost without a training plan... And still I adjust and swap around myself a lot too.
as a older person, the only 21 i can remember is Eric Wright San Franciso 49er cornerback in the the Bill Walsh Montana, Dwight Clark, Ronnie Lott Freddie Salomon.....golden aera.....don`t even remember the exact year, when Jerry Rice joined us, i`m really getting old, i knew all the names and numbers of the linemen, all gone, just remember Guy the punter and Wersching my favorite kicker for the most part i agree with your way of training, it comes close to my own personality, learning to know the own body and acting accordingly is in the long run in all parts of life a very good strategy edit: it will take me til the end of the year to get to 3300 miles, so i can appriciate how strong of a runner you must be, to do that, not only running, but working full time, being a husband and dad, doing all the stuff with the channel, the supwell app and the social media you are involved.......i tip my hat edit2. i got one thing i want to ask you, please get rid for the microwave.......microwaves gives bad vibes all over the kitchen, dining and living room edit 3. last day i did not run was Feb.14 2020....i am no streaker, it just happenend for me as i only run, when i want to run edit 4. before i forget, i enjoyed the video a lot one last thing, why did i not run on Feb.14 2020? My best and probably only true friend had an operation on that day, and i just could not run without knowing the result. It took til 7pm til i got the message, that the operation went well. By that time i was so drained from all the waiting and prying, i had nothing left to run
Bro this is a dope session. Do you have a breakdown of your weekly training regimen? How often you do threshold training. Edit - after continuing the video, you somewhat touched on this haha
Run by feel is 100% correct. My running club's coach is the head cross country and track coach at a local college, and he is all about running by feel.
What people miss about the "data" is our physiology isn't on/off. It's a continuum. Watches help gage the effort and training effect but it shouldn't replace following how you feel. If you hit a wee bit of zone 3 on an easy run, no friggin biggie. Practice all your paces.
Love what you do man! Keep it up! In the Clouds - Do you notice a kinda of rubbing on the lateral side near your pinkies when compressing and decompressing the foam?
I didn't have any rubbing or discomfort with the upper in this run or the 24 mile run I did. My main issue was the untying laces and baggy fit above the foot but changing out the laces fixed that
Haters will be hatin. Do wat u r doing! Always love the rawness of ur training and reviews. Truly inspired by your passion into running. Keep hitting those 20 milers less freaking Goooooooo🔥🔥🔥
Did you see the video for the Tracksmith Eliot Racer? They took a similar approach with the insole/midsole method. Hope you can review that once available!
The humor and levity comes from watching a serious jogger cracking an occasional joke, not from an occasional jogger seriously joking all the time., seriously though But I gotta a few questions: What is a good way to warm up? Is interval training important and effective for improving long distance running? Where does it fit in?
@@supwellyeah I’ve got the JFK 50 mile in Nov. the plan is to use the adidas Agravic speed ultra for the first 15 on the trails then switch to the boom strike for the last 35 on roads
Yoo did you see what corral you start in for Chicago?? I’m wayyy too far up. I’m training for sub 2:55 and for some reason they got me in corral B. I’m terrified I’m going to either try and hang in that group and blow up or I’ll be in people’s way. Or maybe it’s a good fit for me. Never done a marathon this dang big so I don’t even know what to expect. Just gonna lock in and do what I do
Don’t need to train or fuel like an elite athlete for a hobby jogger, which is like 99.9% of us. Just train by feel, don’t take it so seriously if you’re running like 2:30+ marathons. All the extra stuff is just marginal gains. Do it if you want, but it’s pretty much not necessary for 99% of people.
I had the upper bunching at that same exact spot when I tried on the Nike Streakfly. Did that one not bother you the same way this one does? This was the only objection I had to the SF and wondering if I would get over it after some runs…
Feel like a lot of us hobby joggers are over thinking running, and not doing enough runs that push ourselves to see improvement. I know too many folks who been stuck at the same pace for the past year bragging about these scientific training methods
They’re keyboard warriors bro. You probably can’t even trust them. Don’t listen to them they’re just trying to bring you down before you can rise even higher
