I’m guessing many of the NATO member nations were and still are afraid of a nuclear retaliation from Russia and that’s why they didn’t want Ukraine invading Russia and were most likely hoping for some kind of negotiated peace agreement. I’m beginning to wonder if Russia’s nuclear arsenal is even functional anymore. If what we saw with the deplorable condition of much of Russia’s equipment and that much of it is out dated, that might also be indicative of what state their nuclear equipment is in. Right now Russia has proven itself to be a paper tiger.
@@LasseEklof I was watching a RU-vid video about two or three months ago on the need to continually replace a chemical substance that is used in part of the trigger mechanism you need to replace every two or three years that is crazy expensive. Seeing how Putin and everyone down from him in a position of power have been stealing money and equipment to sell for more money, I can see how it might be possible that they may not be maintain their nuclear weapons program to an effective level. It’s not a bluff that anyone wants to call, but if it were to ever happen, I sure hope most if not all of his warheads are duds.
@@icu17siberia Not Scandinavia, not the Baltic countries, not the UK, not the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland etc. The only country in Europe that does not want Ukraine to fight back and instead wants Ukraine to negotiate with Russia is Hungary and to some extent in the past (not now ) also Germany.
The Russians did not know and the invasion is with the creme de la creme of the Ukrainian army plus a whole new set of combined arms tactics (with drones + new circuit bords)

I saw a video where a body armor was opened and then someone used a small caliber weapon to shoot at it and the bullet went through. I seriously doubt it was staged since I have heard from several sources about this. I think two were jailed because they had made a few real armor protection and then they had pocketed money buy ordering cheap stuff that looked like the real thing. It worked because no one wanted to destroy this thing to see what was inside.
@@TheFrewah I remember at the start of the war in which rooskies were badly beaten. UKR examined the ERA on the wrecked tanks and found it to be blocks of wood and in some cases, boxes of sawdust. Zero quality equipment from a Zero quality country!!
@@vegas1a I have heard similar accounts. This could have happened at any time. Maybe someone could sell some of the ERA and replaced the existing ones that were real. There’s a saying that ”A fish rots from the head down” and first time was when I read a book by a russian author. Translated by my late aunt who was interested in russian language and culture but not politicics”. Anyway, the point is that corruption is ubiquitous in russia. So, maybe the factory couldn’t get away with this but someone further down the pecking order could. Remember that some of them siphoned diesel from tanks which meant they had to be abandoned.
@@vegas1a I should perhaps mention a case where things were as you say. You may remember that some six wheeled vehicles had to be abandoned because the tires had failed. It turned out the wheels were only made to physical spec. They looked like the real thing but could not perform as the real thing. I think that someone responsible for procurement bought these substandard tires from China and these people understood how things work. So they agreed on a price that made this guy look good but the tires delivered were much cheaper than the real thing. So even if the russian guy received a god cut, the chinese earned money as well.

The Belgorod Oblasts raid in early March was probably a test drive for the real invasion ( or Second Special Military Operation). 😮The Ukraine took notes from Russian defense last time and are very prepared this time.

Why would Ukraine trade land taken in Kursk for Russian land taken in Kharkiv? Ukraine has taken far more, and Russia will just be able to regroup in the Donbass.
The gas pipes running through the territories Ukraine occupied go through Ukraine on their way to the EU, so Ukraine has gained no new leverage over Russian gas supplies. There are however many other good reasons for the move into Russia.

I do not. Anyone who fights is complicit in this brutal war. Anyone who actively supports the invasion is complicit too. No sympathy I'm afraid. There are a large silent group who do not support it and are decent of course - but they are generally unaffected. The sympathy is with the Ukrainians. Nearly every family has been broken.
Do not feel sorry for them. They have allowed Putin to reign death and destruction. They are culpable. A dictator only exists because the people don't kick him off the throne. They have the blood of the Ukrainians on their hands. They are not innocent.

No they dont, its all unconfirmed. If they launched any im quite sure someones gonna respond and it will be the end of russia. We are not scared to stand up for what we believe period.
